Interview - Chapter 37

"How has being Jamie Campbell Bower's girlfriend, been?" The interviewer asks and I inwardly laugh at the questions I've been asked.

"Relatively normal up until now, this is crazy," I chuckle, looking at the fans covering every square inch of the floor.

"Do you think that you could get used to this?"

"Look, I'm not much of a girly girl but what girl doesn't like getting dressed up and being fussed over every now and then?" Jamie and the interview smile and the interviewer takes the microphone back to ask one final question.

"Well, we all heard about the engagement, congratulations by the way, are there any new plans for the wedding at the moment?"

"Not that I'm aware of," I sarcastically answer and Jamie laughs like I've just told the funniest joke, "No we haven't really started thinking about it yet," I say while Jamie composes himself.

We say goodbye and get ushered along to a new interviewer.

"What was so funny?" I ask in a somewhat hushed voice.

"You," He says, smiling, "You're a natural at this Jess," He manages to say just as the new interviewer, a woman, greets us with hugs and a kiss on the cheek.

"How are you two today? Jessica, you're looking gorgeous!"

"Thank you, thank you," I smile, letting Jamie stand directly in front of her, after all it is his premiere.

"Jamie, you must be pretty thrilled to have this beautiful lady by your side today,"

"I'm always thrilled to have her by my side," He smiles, encircling his arm around me, "wouldn't wish to have it any other way," He kisses the top of my head and the interviewer aws.

"You two are literally the cutest couple," She smiles, "Congratulations on the recent engagement too! Pretty sure you would've heard that a few times over the last couple of hours," She chuckles, "Can I see the ring?"

I pull my left hand out from behind my back and hold it out to show her as she coos over it, "You have great taste Mr. Bower," She smiles and I nod,

"What can I say? I'm a lucky girl,"

"How did you two meet? You're obviously not from around here are you?" She chuckles and Jamie and I laugh together simultaneously at the story of how we met.

"We just met while we were both out in Melbourne," He smiles and squeezes my side.

"Love at first sight was it?"

"Sure was," He smiles and I can't hold much of my laughter back at all.

"And what else is coming up for you two? No kids or anything on the way?"

"What? Oh definitely not, not yet anyway," I laugh nervously, "Are you saying that I look pregnant?" I joke and the interviewer tries to compensate for her question,

"Not at all, you just never know anymore," She laughs and Jamie and I share a glance and I know exactly what he's thinking:This is awkward, "Oh well, that's all we've got time for, thank you so much guys,"

We walk over to where we are supposed to pose for photos and I wait on the edge while Jamie walks over.

"JESSICA GET OVER THERE WITH HIM," One photographer says

"WE WANT YOU BOTH,"

I walk over to him as he hugs me with one arm and kisses my temple.

"You're beautiful just smile," He says in my ear and I pose with him for what seems like years even though it was probably only 10 minutes.

"Alright, Jamie, Jessica we need you inside now," His agent says, guiding us to a set of double doors as screaming fans try to get his attention.

When we make it through the doors it feels as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I lean into Jamie's hug for comfort.

"That was terrifying," I chuckle as he kisses my forehead,

"They loved you so don't worry,"

"Some of them don't mind asking... personal questions do they?"

He laughs and looks around the room, "Not at all. Come on, we're wanted over there," He grabs my hand in his and firmly squeezes it.
