Star Struck - Chapter 51

"I honestly can't believe that just happened," Jamie sighs, lying next to me on my tiny hospital bed.

"Neither can I,"

He rests his head on my shoulder and plays with my fingers on my left hand, "What are you thinking for names?" He says, tilting his head up and looking sideways at me.

"What were the ones we thought for a girl? Savannah, Aliya and Vixen wasn't it?" I ask and he nods.

"I've got one that I love out of those three," He says and I nod in agreement.

"So do I," I chuckle, "let's just hope that they're the same one..."

"Alright, we can both say it on 3,"

"1, 2, 3," I count with a smile on my face, "Savannah,"

"Savannah," I hear his voice echo mine and we both smile widely, "Savannah it is then. What about a middle name?"

"Well, I'm a sucker for the traditional Rose but have you got any ideas?"

"Nope I love it,"

"Really?" I ask,

"100% I love it,"

"Savannah Rose Bower," I say, "It's got a nice ring to it, I love it,"

"I love you, and I love her, and I love her name and I just can't remember being this happy," He smiles, reaching up to kiss my cheek.

The door opens quietly and Sarah walks in, "She's in the nursery. She's a little bit premature as I'm sure you're aware-"

My heart drops and I don't notice that I squeeze Jamie's hand, "is she alright?"

"Yes, she'll be fine, just needs a bit of nurturing at the moment. Apart from that, she's perfect,"

"Oh thank god," I sigh, "can we go and see her?"

"If you're feeling up to it, then sure. We can get you a wheelchair,"

"I feel pretty good," I smile and Jamie jumps off the bed, helping me off as well.

As we are walking, and Jamie convinced me to use a wheel chair just so I can rest, Sarah comes up with small talk. "Do you have any name ideas?" She says looking at me.

"Yes we do," I smile, looking right up at Jamie, "We've decided," I smile

Her face lights up and Jamie smiles as he tells her what it is.

"That's beautiful," She smiles warmly, "well, Savannah, is right over here,"

I leave the wheelchair at the side of the room and walk with Jamie's arm supporting my back over to where she's lying.

"She's so beautiful," I mutter, placing my hand over her tiny little fingers.

"Takes after her mum," Jamie smiles, resting his lips on my shoulder and looking down at her.

"I'll be back in just one moment, I'll go and get the papers you need to fill out now that you're awake," She smiles.

"What am I going to do?" I mumble.

"What?"

"I have no idea what I'm going to do," I say, louder and more coherently.

"Neither do I but we'll figure it out," He smiles, "oh, and by the way, you might want to check Twitter next time you get a chance,"

I turn around and death stare him as he gives me a cheeky grin, "what did you do?"

"You'll find out it's not that bad," He smiles, circling his arms around my waist and hugging me, his forehead resting on my shoulder, "I love you,"

"I love you too,"

His head lifts and he rests his chin on my shoulder, looking at Savannah, "and I love you too,"

I turn around in his arms and look down at my little girl, "I can't believe we did that,"

"I think we are just going to be star struck by her for a little while,"

"Definitely?" I chuckle, hearing the door click open, "what time is it?" I ask Sarah,

"5:45am," She chuckles, "you only slept for about 2 hours,"

"That's why it's still dark," I chuckle as she passes me the sheets,

"Do you want to go back to the room to fill them out?" Jamie says, wrapping his arm around my back again

"Yes, and I can walk this time," we chuckle together and I lean into him for support as we walk back to my room after kissing my tiny baby's forehead.
