LIFE CAN CHANGE- Aaron Tveit

CHAPTER 34

Aaron woke me up when we got to the restaurant. During lunch everyone was talking and laughing and having a great time, and I tried taking part in that, but my thoughts kept drifting to my relationship with Aaron. Aaron of course noticed and asked but I told him I was just tired and he let it go.

When we got home I told everyone I was going to my room and study because all I wanted was to be alone. I didn't know what to do. I was scared of my feelings and what could happen. I was staring at the book and just thinking when there was a knock on my door. "Yes?" I asked.

"You want to talk?" John asked, poking his head in. somehow he always knew when I needed to get things off my chest. "Yes" I said quietly and he came in, closing the door behind him. "What's going on?" he asked while sitting on my bed. "I'm scared" I said quietly, coming to sit next to him on the bed.

"Of what?" he asked and I wasn't sure what to answer. "My feelings?" I said more as a question than a statement. "What do you mean?" John asked. "I like Aaron, like really really like him. But I know him for such a short time and I can't have these feeling for him so soon! And he'd never feel the same and what is he even doing with someone like me? What if he understands he's done a mistake and leaves?" I asked almost crying by this point.

"Were you really sleeping during the car ride to the restaurant?" he asked shocked. What does that have to do with anything? Did he even listen to me? "Yes, why?" I asked confused. "If you'd been up you'd hear how Aaron talked about you. He really likes you too. And-" he started saying but then stopped for a second before continuing. 

"And what does it matter how long you've been together? When you know it's right then nothing else matters. Do you not remember anything you said to me just a few nights ago?" John asked and I couldn't help but smile. He was right, just a few days ago he told me how scared he was about his feelings for Adam.

"But-" I started arguing but john cut me off. "No buts. You like him, he likes you, that's the end of it. Just spend as much time with him as you can and enjoy it, ok?" he asked. I wasn't sure if I should listen to him but I decided to give it a try, if Aaron really likes me as much as I like him what could go wrong?

"Fine" I said and John gave me a hug. "Now I'll go get him and just act like nothing just happened. Go back to normal and enjoy being together" he said and left. A few minutes later Aaron came in my room and sat down next to me, I haven't moved since my conversation with John.

"Everything ok?" Aaron asked in a worried voice. "Everything is great"  I said and smiled at him, leaning my head on his shoulder. "I'm having a really great time here" Aaron told me "I'm having a really great time too, I'm glad you're here" I said and then we just cuddled on my bed not doing anything productive for the rest of the day. We watched movies and talked a bit, doing what John told me – just enjoy each other's company.

At some point we must've fallen asleep because I woke up by Sophia jumping on my bed wanting to wake me and Aaron up. "What sweetie?" I asked still half asleep. "I wanted to say goodbye before we go" she said and gave me a tight hug. "What do you mean? You're leaving already?" I asked confused.

"Yes" she said and then started jumping on Aaron who was still asleep. I got myself out of bed and saw Ashton taking their luggage to the door. "Leaving already?" I asked a little sad. "Yes. We have a flight at 4.. We need to be back home in time for work tomorrow" he said and then I realized, it was Sunday already!

Aaron and I will be leaving today too! I went to say goodbye to Amber and a few minutes later Aaron came with Sophia in his arms. We all said goodbye and they left, after Sophia cried about not wanting to leave everyone. "When are you guys leaving?" I asked Kate and John "in an hour" John said. "Our flight is at 6 but it's international so we need to be at the airport early" Adam said and it made me sad that I won't see John again for who knows how long. 

"We leave tonight, we aren't really rushing anywhere" Kate said. "Do you need to be home by a certain hour?" I asked Aaron who wasn't listening to the conversation, he was basically sleeping there while standing. "What? Umm no, as long as I'm on time for rehearsal tomorrow" he said finally waking up a bit.

"Ok so we'll leave at 6?" I asked knowing it means we get home only at about 10. "Yeah sure" he said and went to make himself a cup of coffee. "So what do you want to do in the few hours we have left?" I asked him after making myself a cup of coffee too.

"I have an idea!" my mom said before Aaron could say anything. When did she even come into the kitchen? "Yes?" I asked not sure of what she would suggest. "Table tennis match! We haven't done that in a long time!" she said excitedly. "Sure" Aaron said and I nodded "Kate!" my mom yelled and Kate and Justin came here "what do you say about a table tennis match?" she asked happily. "Yes! Finally something I can beat Justin in!" she said and we laughed.

We said goodbye to John and Adam since we knew once we start playing we'd get caught up in it and not notice it's time for them to go. "Call me at least once a week, ok?" John asked before he left. "Ok" I said and hugged him one last time.

We started playing and before we knew it it was already 5 thirty and for the past few hours we just played and joked around, Kate and I having a great time at beating Aaron and Justin, but it's no surprise, we've been playing our whole childhood. At 5 thirty Aaron went to start packing, not that there was much, but he had to make sure he had all his scripts and sheet music.

"Jenny, can we talk before you leave?" my mom asked as I was about to go help Aaron. "Yeah" I said and went to sit with her in the living room. "I'm really happy you moved on" she said and could tell she truly meant it. "Aaron is a really great guy, make sure you don't scare him away" she said jokingly, but I was scared that I might just do that.

"But I'm serious, he's really great, it's lovely to see the two of you together" she said and I could feel myself blush. "I love you" she said and I got up and hugged her. "I love you too" I said and then I went to my room. "Is everything ok?  Asked when I noticed Aaron sitting on my bed with a distracted look on his face.

"Yes everything is great" he said and got up and kissed me quickly before starting to pack. I put all my things in my bag, I didn't bring much since I knew most of what I need I have double of, here and in my apartment in NY. "I'm ready" I said after a few minutes. "Me too" Aaron said a second later and we went downstairs.

"Dad, are you diving us to the train station?" I asked when I saw him sitting in the living room. "Yes, are you ready to go?" he asked and I saw Aaron move uncomfortably from the corner of my eye. "Yes" I said after saying goodbye one last time to mom, Kate and Justin. "Ok, let's go" my dad said and drove us.

Aaron was quiet the whole ride while my dad wanted to know how my studying was going. The ride wasn't long and before I knew it it was time to say goodbye to my father too. I hugged him and then he shook Aarons hand and whispered something to him. "Bye" he yelled as we went into the station.

"What did he tell you?" I asked wondering. "Oh nothing, just to remember his talk" he mumbled and went to buy us the tickets. "What talk?" I asked when he got the tickets and we headed towards the platform. "The father to boyfriend talk" he said matter of factly. But what did that mean?

I could tell Aaron wasn't comfortable talking about it so I decided to change the subject. We talked about everything and nothing during the train ride, and before we knew it we were back in NY. We got out of the station and it felt so weird. The big city, full of people was so different from the quiet small town. But I loved it and was glad to be back.

We took a cab to my apartment and after having dinner together Aaron left, after promising to see me tomorrow for our run which we haven't done while we were gone. I've been back for only a few hours but it felt so good being back. Little did I know soon I'd be wishing to be back in the happy bubble of the past weekend. 

Hi everyone! I know this was basically a filler, but I needed it here, and starting next chapter there will be more drama.
