I had to do something. So many gods were showing an interest in the rare flower And she did not know of the dangers she was in from their affection. She needed to be safe
She needed someone to care for her To love her To protect her
"What is the meaning of this meeting Hades? I have many things to do" Gaia spoke up, entering the grand hall "I am sorry to take up your time, but I need something from you" I said.
"And what might that be?" She asked disinterested "Flowers" I said She scoffed "Flowers? In the underworld?" She chuckled
"I never said anything about them being in the underworld" I said. I wanted them above ground I wanted Persephone to be... with me.
It was an odd fact to come to terms with in my mind But she was beautiful And intelligent She did not see things the way every other god did
And it enticed me to no end I wanted to listen to her for hours To watch her forever

"Please mother, it will just be for a few hours?" I pleaded "Today is not a day off Kore, you know that" she said "I know. But I missed that day for the ceremony we attended, I just wish to play in the meadow, it is not too far" I said.
"I will consider it, now please go and water the garden" she said I nodded "Yes mother" I said, wandering out of the back door and into the burning sun The warmth surrounding me comforted me
Like nothing else ever could "Afternoon Kore" I opened my eyes, leaving my peaceful state and looking up to Hermes, who sat lazily upon our stone wall "What are you doing here?" I asked "Charming" he said "I am here to accompany you today, especially after the ceremony the other day" he chuckled.
Yes. Men's advances were getting rather... stressful "Speak of the devil" Hermes sighed, dropping his leg propped up in the wall for them both to dangle below him "What?" I asked "Persephone" Apollo smiled, stood at the back gate, with a... lyre?
"Apollo, good afternoon" I said politely "Kore, who are you talking to?" Mother demanded curiously Her eyes landing upon Hermes first "Oh, Hermes, how nice to see you" she said He smiled, gracefully jumping off of the wall "Demeter" he greeted
