Chapter 21: Missing Pieces

Hailee Pov

"I know" escapes from my mouth as they stood at the door. I watch as they open the door wider motioning for me to come in.

"You know." she finally says as she shuts the door behind me, leading me into the living room. "Don't mind the mess, I've been trying to get all of this cleaned up."

I looked around seeing bottles on the counters, "Are you actually going to tell me or am I just wasting my time." I said as I sat down on the couch looking over at her as she put a few more bottles into the trash bag before sitting down.

"You aren't wasting you time, What do you want to know?" She said looking at me

"Why didn't you tell me who you were Lupe?" I said as my voice came out slightly raspy, I could already feel tears in my eyes.

"It was in my contract with our old record company,  I couldn't straight up tell anyone. I had been hoping that you figured out I am White Tiger." she said looking down before looking back up at me.

"What do you mean? Hoping that I would figure it out?" I said gripping the pillow on the couch.

"I mean that in my contract it said that I had to keep my identity hidden, most of my extended family doesn't even know who I am.  The damn contract always seemed to get extended with everything that had happen. I mean I was 19 when we signed the contract, I mean at first I didn't mind it because I got to do anything I wanted without people knowing. I could go anywhere that I wanted especially after the whole break up with my ex." she said as rambled

"Is that the only thing you were hiding from me?" I almost whisper out looking down at my hands then back at her.

Lupe Pov

I look at her watching as our eyes meet, her eyes begging me to tell her everything, "I'll tell you everything Hailee."

"I trust that you would." She said as she took a deep breath, tears almost escaping her eyes, she clearly was trying to hold them back.

I took a deep breath as I started talking "I'll start at the beginning.... Maverick and I grew up in a small town in Texas, where we were creating music like crazy. When our senior year we lost a friend.. Celia.. the one we dedicated the record company to. After we graduated we went our separate ways in college.... well at least for the first couple of days, when Maverick decided to invite me to New York which I took and went. I mean who wouldn't have done that?"

I looked at her when she nodded for me to continue, "Their parents helped me out with the cost, I didn't have to worry about where to live. If you didn't know Mavs family is pretty much loaded, but they've always just been Mav to me. Although at the same time I still attended the community college and did get the other degree from there, but I also attended the Texas school and got a degree from there as well."

"I partially went up to New York when Mav met Lizzie, and had asked me to go help with this song they were working on. I ended up staying in New York, but doing both schools... such fucking hard work that some days I never knew how I survived. Anyways going into sophomore year of college June 2008 we were found and signed because of a lot of songs we had been sending in, they also had heard us play."

I paused when I heard a knock coming from the door, "Must be the food I ordered, give me a second" I said as I looked at her she nodding her head.

Hailee Pov

I watched as she made her way towards the door, grabbing the food before yelling out to Maverick.

"So don't be worried on the way that they look." She says quickly as I hear foot steps coming down the stairs, my eyes widen when I see Maverick with darken circles around their eyes.
