Chapter 59: What's Next

Hailee Pov

"You know you can loosen your grip on me." Greer said as she looked over at me as I slowly loosen my grip. "Plus please take a breath other wise you are going to pass out."

I honestly didn't know what to say or do, I could see the nerves coming off of her. I knew she always tried to play it off, but sometimes when you actually get to know the person you can see the little quirks.

"I am breathing." I tell her as she shakes her head, the banter between the two completely evident that they had been friends for a long time.

I hope people were able to see that, but yet didn't read much into it. I know they could seriously get flirty really quick with out trying.

I once again held my breath as I watch Taylor and Maverick helping her pull off the mascot head, I could see her eyes closed.

"Is her eyes closed?" I hear Greer mutter out as I look over at Lupe, which of course her eyes are completely closed.

"Umm mhmm." I whisper out at her as she just shakes her head, "Definitely a different feeling being up there when everyone can read your facial expressions."

She nods her head as we finally see Lupe opening up her eyes taking it all in as if for the first time.

We watched as the three quickly moved back to the original positions they had started at.

I could see Queen and the group looking over at each other with their mouths open wide, I quickly getting a glances from them as I nod my head before a smile appears on my face.

Queen shaking her head before looking back over at the stage.

As I finally look over at Lupe's family I could see tears starting to escape her moms, her brothers dancing along to the music as Selena and Lizzie try to stay as incognito as possible.

I know a huge smile is coming across my face as I watch the two perform, her mom and I finally catching each others eyes more smiles coming from the both of us.

Lupe Pov

By the time that we had reached the end of ME, I was almost jumping just out of pure excitement. That by the time we finished the song Maverick was looking over at me with a huge smile also coming across their face.

"Thank you J-Lupe and Maverick for joining me." Taylor said as we went over giving her a quick hug before we both headed off backstage.

"Well that was fun." Maverick said as soon as we got off stage my head slightly shaking at their comment.

"Honestly I can't believe that I actually did that." I finally sputter out as I almost just stand there in disbelief.

"Honestly I thought you were almost going to back out of the whole situation." Mav stated as I finally look over at them.

"To be honest, I thought I was going to just not going to actually do this whole thing. It was honestly scarier then what I thought it would've been." I said finally letting out my breath

"Well you didn't though see you got this, lets go met up with Maria and see what else we needed to do before going back on." Mav said as we made our way back over to Maria who stood there with the mascot head.

"Well that went pleasantly well, I was just talking to Tree and she seems very happy." Maria said as I see Tree walking up.

"You know I honestly thought you were going to chicken out for a second Lupe." Tree stated as I shook my head.

"Why does everyone think that?" I question with a slight huff.

"You do realize we've know you a very long time right?" She said with a smirk as she nods her head behind me.
