Chapter 49:

Hailee Pov

"Fuck" I mutter out into the room my eyes fluttering shut from the blinding lights.

When my eyes finally adjust I feel around the bed quickly seeing the empty side of the bed. It was still made and I could tell no one had slept there. 

Water and Tylenol sitting on the side table just waiting for me. I quickly pop the pills down and take a big gulp of water, hoping that the pills work quickly.

I quickly made my way up and down stairs hearing rustling coming from the kitchen area.

"Finally awake?" Is all I hear asked as I reached the bottom of the stairs, seeing Mav and Lizzie standing around the island.

I watch as Mav gives me a quick smile before making their way out of the house. Ok that was weird..

"Yeah sorry I think I over did it." I muttered out as Lizzie placed a plate and a glass of orange juice in front of me. "Thank you."

"No problem we've all been there." She tells me with a small smile coming across her face and her hand gently coming across mine. I watch as she grabs her mug before sitting next to me waiting for me to start eating.

It doesn't take me long before I quickly finish my food and drink. I make sure to wash my dishes as I see Lizzie looking over at me.

"Ok did something happen?" I ask as she looks down before looking back at me.

"How much do you remember last night?" She asks me as she takes a sip out of her drink.

"I mean I remember most of it up until somehow ending up outside. Although when I made it back inside Lupe was distant." I tell her as she nods her head. "Do you know what happen?"

"Not really, I know Lupe helped you get to bed and into the clothes that you are wearing. After that I think they went into the studio." She tells me as my brow raises. "She has a tendency to keep so many things locked in. I mean she had to with all of the secrets."

"Wait who went to the studio? That was really amazing of her to do." I said a smile escaping my lips as she looks down at her coffee. "Ok why do I feel like there is something more going on?"

"Are you sure you don't remember anything else?" She asked as looking over at me.

"No not really am I supposed to or something? Like did I do something?" I ramble out the questions quickly.

"Honestly I am not sure what exactly happen I just know that she wasn't in the greatest mood. I can definitely take you out there if you want?" She asked as she started putting on her shoes. "By the way your friend left early this morning."

I nodded my head before asking "Can you give me a few minutes to go and change?"

"Yeah I am not in any rush." She tells me as I nod my head making my way back upstairs, Lupe's room seemed exactly like her other rooms she had.

I quickly grab some clothes, take as quick of a shower as I could. I finally look at my phone seeing some messages from mom, Ella, Griffin and one from Josh.

Hey sorry I couldn't stay too long had to get back game on Monday, just a few hours drive to Houston.

Let me know when you are available to hang out again 😏. I had fun

I keep looking at the messages that he sent, he had fun what is he talking about.

I try and shake my head from the thoughts as I make my way down the stairs.
