Chapter 53: Mind Fucked

Lupe Pov

"You know I seriously think that they are trying to mess with us right now." I state as I look over at Maverick, we had finally gotten something to eat which had kept up content for a while. The two of us were definitely known for not sitting down for very long, we always had to be doing something.. hence how I ended up learning how to do a Rubik's cube.

Although we were left alone together it would still never be as bad as leaving my cousin, Mav and I alone together. I still remember the dare all of those years ago.. lets just say getting stuck in a tree isn't as fun as you think.

"You are honestly probably right Lupe." Mav said letting out a loud sigh quickly taking me out of my thoughts, my head shooting up as we both looked quickly down at our phones. I knew Mav was going to be up to something because another loud sigh escaped their lips as they finally started talking once again, "Which is why I was thinking a game of just dare. I mean think about it there is no one here to stop us at this point. And we hardly get time to just do things with each other anymore especially with everything going on.. if you know what I mean."

"True, we've both been utterly busy lately. But I seriously don't want to do anything like we did prior.." I said my accent slightly slipping in as I looked up at Maverick one last time, I mean it wasn't our fault how we ended up in Las Vegas on our 21st birthdays.

"Come on don't chicken out on me, and you seriously need to stop with the avoidance. Most people don't think I actually pay attention but I do.. Well when I want to." Mav stated suddenly standing up in front of me. "All I am saying is that you and I need to do something crazy. I mean you know how busy 2020 is going to be for us."

"You are being completely serious right now. Aren't you?" I question as I finally stand up looking over at my best friend.

"Completely. Does it look like I am joking?" Mav spout out with their brow cocked up, a smirk clearly across their face.

"Fine as long as we don't end up doing some crazy shit . I mean what is the worse that could happen." I state as a huge smile appears on Mavericks face.

Hailee Pov

"So question." Taylor asked as we set up the last of the decorations, we had planned to do a dinner then head out to a club later on. We wanted everyone to feel as comfortable as could be for as long as we could.

"Well there could be an answer depending on the question." Scarlett said as we all looked over at her.

"Do any of you currently have any location on the two idiots? Because if y'all don't remember what happen that last time we left the two of them alone together." Taylor said looking up from her phone, as the three of us grabbed our phones looking for their locations.

"What the hell are they doing at NYU?" Lizzie says as I look over at her, I can clearly see her trying to zoom into the map.

"Probably their stupid dares." Taylor says walking over towards Lizzie, a knock coming from the front door. We had been waiting for the caterers to finally get here as soon as I opened the door a huge smile came across my face. Their siblings had actually made it into town, the five of us quickly hugging as I ushered them into the house.

"Come on in." I said as they followed me into the house, Lupe's youngest brother finally saying "So where is my old grandma of a sister?"

Smacks coming quickly from his wife as I tell them that she and Maverick were running around doing who knows what at this point.

"Well that is never a good thing." Art says as he wraps his arm around Selena, honestly the more times that I see them together you could clearly see how happy the two are together.
