Chapter 58: I already knew

Lupe Pov

Nervousness was probably the least of my worries these past few days, I knew that the reveal was happening tomorrow. I mean I knew that this day was going to be happening and iHeart knew something is coming.. they just didn't know exactly what it is.

"You sure you are ok mija?" I heard my mom ask as I look back at the screen, she and I had been on FaceTime for a while. My mom had known how stressed I had been over the past couple of days, she and the rest of my immediate family had just gotten into town.

"I am fine ama, you know me just trying to figure out everything for the day." I answered as she hummed to my answer. I knew she didn't exactly believe me, but I didn't want her to worry anymore than she actually had to.

"We know things are about to change for you and we know for us. But you don't have to worry mija, we can take care of ourselves no matter what that brings." she says as I nod my head, slight tears escaping. "Now mija, wipe those tears and you better get ready. We will see you here in a few hours, we love you."

A smile escaping my lips as I finally answer "I love you too ama, I'll see you here in a few hours."

"So how is mom?" Mav asked making me jump, "Come on you knew I was here."

"I honestly forgot that you were here to be honest." I said as I sat next to them. "I mean I think she is ok about the whole situation, but you know her she likes to hid her true feelings."

"Ah yeah I remember.. never show them your cards completely." Mav said as I just shook my head.

"That's the one part you remember huh?" I question as I look over at them.

"You know I can't speak Spanish as well or for fact if I even understand it." They said with a smile as I move an arm around them.

"You know mom would be disappointed right?" I deadpan as they shoved my arm off of their shoulder.

"You know just because she loves me a lot more than you, doesn't mean that you need to be making lies Lupe. We better get ready, I mean it's going to be your first time performing as yourself and our first time as a duo." Mav said getting up as I felt that feeling coming back on me. "You seriously need to calm down."

"You don't think I am trying to?" I all but sputter out.

"I know you are, I shouldn't have said that." Mav said as they now wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "I go you though Lupe."

I nodded my head before thanking them.

Hailee Pov

"Well what are you exactly going to do Hailee?" Greer asked as I looked over at my phone.

"Honestly I don't know, I just don't want to do anything to hurt what Lupe and I have together. I mean Cameron is just wanting to catch up and nothing else." I said as she squinted her eyes together.

"You mean like you and Josh? Like what happened there?" she asked as I squinted my eyes together.

"Umm nothing I don't think? I mean I felt that whole thing was a blur or something. Besides isn't he back with Britt right?" I said as I looked over at my outfits once again.

"Honestly between those two they are probably the most on and off again situation ship then most people are. All that I actually heard was that he had a nice time or something, I mean he didn't say much. Although I don't think he exactly liked Lupe or something." She said as I watched her look off to the side.

"Honestly it was a decent conversation when it wasn't focused so much on football. Although it could've been the fact that she literally told him that she was a Cowboys fan." I said with a slight chuckle.
