Chapter 57: The beginning to an End

"So you and Taylor?" Mav asked as I held the phone up to my ear.

"What exactly are you trying to imply right now?" I state as I thank the barista.

"You are literally in the UK right now." They said as I heard a deep sigh come from their side, my head finally snapping up taking in the scenery around me. "And you seriously aren't even paying attention to me are you?"

"I am, I am. what do you want me to say Mav? Taylor asked me to come with her and I offered her my flat." I say as I make my way towards it, I had always been thankful that Mavericks parents were always so good with real estate. They had set me up in this place when I just needed to get away, even when it was just for a little bit.

"You are literally still stuck in your thoughts once again aren't you? And you just saying flat just makes me realize how much time you actually spent over there." Mav said with a chuckle.

"You do realize that I have ADHD and Autism right?" I said with a shrug of my shoulders. "Besides you of all people know how my mind works and what exactly is that supposed to mean?"

"I do know how it works, but I seriously don't want you getting hurt with everything that you are doing. Y'know?" Mav says with a slightly strained voice. "Besides I know you did somethings there too, and you can't exactly hide that fact."

"I know, I don't either. But Taylor and I aren't doing anything, I am just here supporting her." I said as I finally make my way to my place.

"Still avoiding that question huh?" Mav said with another chuckle coming out of them.

"Hey that is to remain between me and my friend." I state as I finally enter the flat, setting my keys into the bowl.

"Hey ba-" Taylor says stopping as soon as she sees me on the phone. "Shit"

"I'll talk to you later Mav, we have to go and do something." I said as I quickly shut the phone.

"Well that sounded fun." She said as she quickly grabbed her coffee.

"So incredibly fun." I said with a slight smirk

"Come on you know me just stopping like that is going to seriously work their heads." She said as she took a drink out of her coffee, a smirk quickly appearing on her face.

"Still such a trouble maker." I said as I look over at her.

"Yet you are still clearly attached to me." She said as moved passed her.

"Whatever that seems to settle your mind T." I said as I make my way to my room.

"You know I still can't believe that you lived here for so long." she said as she followed me.

"I mean I did need a place to just get away for awhile, if you don't remember everything that had happen during that time." I said as she rolled her eyes. "Exactly without you even having to say it."

"Shut it J, we don't talk about those dark times you know." She said as she laid down on my bed setting the coffee down on the end table, "So are you ever going to tell me exactly what went on?"

"Everyone is so fascinated with what I actually did." I state as I look over at her, before laying down on the other side.

"I mean you kept this part so separated from everything. I mean I know I did somethings, but still we somewhat ended up together." She stated as I could see her looking up at the ceiling.

"Somewhat huh?" I question as I see her body turn towards me, my head quickly looking over at before once again looking up at the ceiling.

"You know exactly what I mean Lupe, I honestly don't know what it is. But.. I am grateful that you actually joined me." she says as I finally give in once again looking over at her.
