Chapter 38: Lose you

Hailee Pov

"I still can't believe you are ya..." Jen stated as we sat down, Lupe shook her head as she held out my seat for me.

"You still can't tell anyone though," Lupe stated as she sat down next to me handing me a menu, that girl of course getting her usual sweet tea.

"So how long are you down for?" Her mom asked as soon as the waitress took everyone else's drink orders.

"I'll be here till August... Taylor has the whole thing for the music video. Plus I want to make sure everything is set in stone. I mean we have to go over what's left with the shop huh Art?" She asked as the two looked over at each other.

"Yeah there are a few more modifications for you side of it that needs to be done. Most of my normal clients are just chomping at the bit to come in and thanks for the McDonalds." He stated as the whole group turned towards him.

"What did she do now?" her youngest brother asked as Lupe shook her head before pointing towards her finger.

"I already saw the tattoo... Lupita." Her mom stated not even looking up from the menu.

"Fine, it was just an all of sudden.. Besides it was one of your friends." She told her brother as his brow raised. "you were the one who went two weeks without talking to me. Plus I knew you would forgive me if I sent food."

"So that's why I was the middle man between the two of you?" Juan stated "You do realize how busy the shop has been becoming?"

"Hey we needed to get you involved some how." Art said as they shrugged their shoulders up.

"Wait so you are a tattoo artist?" I ask as the three nod their heads yes, when the same waitress came over to take our orders.

"Sorry, I always forget not so used to introducing my family. So my brother Art here got his degree in fine arts with teaching." She stated looking over at me. "Although when he graduated the one thing he wanted as a tattoo gun. so I did that.. Of course mom not so happy about it. But look at where he is now."

"Winning Ink Master." he stated as the two gave each other high fives, their mom just shook her head.

"Anyways Juan over here owns his own shop. A lot of my cars that you see are all fixed up is because of him. He ended up getting his own show because of it, but also he went and got his Associates in General Studies." She tells me as I turn to her youngest brother who I now recognize. "Plus he is always checking out the work your brother does and was the one to find his car."

"My brother loves your show and the work you've done on your vehicles." I all but blurt out towards the youngest sibling who smiles nodding his head before saying, "I appreciate that, I've seen his work. The things he is able to do on his cars are pretty amazing."

"I'll let him know, I know he will be really excited to hear that. Definitely jealous I actually got to meet you." I tell him as we see the waitress is bringing over our food.

Everyone digging in as soon as it is placed in front of us.

Lupe Pov

I am honestly glad that everyone was getting along, I hadn't ever introduced anyone to my family, except for maybe Taylor.

Who had been there since the beginning and fell into being my family really quickly. My mom had always thought she was the one but things happen.

The only bad part was that Hailee seemed to enjoy hearing about those so many stories that my brothers always seemed to like to tell. And I mean a ton of stories to the point that I definitely looked like an idiot.
