Sean’s POV:

The only thing I can see when I close my eyes is Dover’s body underneath mine. His sweaty flesh, hot and taunt vibrant with life. Then in a flash I’m with McClane and he’s pounding me hard. I’m moaning and squirming unable to contain myself. Back and forth the images flash until it becomes one big blur. This has been going on since I boarded my plane to Kazakhstan. I’ll be lucky not to fall flat on my face when we land.

‘Why is this so hard?’ I grumbled to myself.

‘Because anything worthwhile is never easy.’ My conscience said.

‘Please spare me your self help crap.’ I said. Shrugging its shoulders my conscience sighed.

‘There’s no need to be grouchy with me because I’m a nice guy I’ll stop your thoughts so that you can get some sleep. When you wake you’ll be refreshed and ready to face the day.’ My conscience said.

‘You know I shouldn’t have to bargain with my conscience on stuff like this.’ I said as I leaned back in my chair.

‘You shouldn’t have to but what fun would it be if I made it easy for you?’ My conscience countered. I couldn’t help the small smile tugging at the corners of my lips.

“Not worthwhile fun apparently.” I said to myself. Winking at me my conscience started to fade away leaving me with peaceful silence.

‘Exactly.’

“Sean… Sean Wesley is that you?” Looking up from my assignment folder I was stunned to see startling familiar eyes. My heart did this strange lurch and seizer thing before it straightened out and resumed it normal beating.

“Troy?” I said. Grinning he walked over from his group and opened his arms to me. Hugging me tightly Troy pulled back and looked me up and down.

“Damn man, it’s good to see you. What are you doing here?” He asked his eyes eating me up like I was an ice cream sundae dressed in Marine fatigues.

“I’m on assignment right now. I actually have a meeting with this tech group called...” Looking to my folder I tried to find the name.

“Quantum Technologies.” Troy said. Looking up I frowned.

“How did you know that?” I asked. Showing me the folders in his hands his smile turned into a grin.

“You’re here to meet with me and my guys. We’re the civilians you have to keep safe out there.” He said. Holy shit… I would be out in the field with Troy…

‘Don’t panic. This is good. We agreed to keep your options open. Troy was a very likely candidate before you fucked it up. This is your second chance. Don’t blow it.’ My conscience said. It was right. Before I knew McClane was at that theater I was ready to give Troy a chance. He was sweet and kind to me. The way I just dismissed him was bad. I needed to make up for it.

“Well it’s nice to see a familiar face and I promise I will do everything in my power to keep you safe.” I said. Looking away Troy’s cheeks darkened with color as he cleared his throat.

“Does… does anyone know about you?” He whispered. Looking about I made sure we were by ourselves before answering.

“No… I don’t think they’ll mind but I don’t want anyone trying to use it against me.” I said in hush tones. Nodding Troy sighed and leaned back against the wall.

“Same here. It’ll be nice to have someone around who’ll understand what I’m going through.” He said a bit relieved. He was right. At Parris Island I had Dover. Back home I Micah and Declan. Out here I would have been alone if I hadn’t met with Troy again. Looking to his watch Troy started to motion his team into the conference room.

“I guess we should start.” He said going to the door. Doing the same I gathered my team and we all sat around the make shift table. While Troy explained the nature of our assignment I couldn’t help but think back to that night. If I hadn’t let McClane come and cloud my judgment I probably would have been with Troy at this very moment. Then again if I had stuck with Troy I wouldn’t have acted on my desire for Dover.

‘Then you wouldn’t be having fun trying to figure out who it is you really want.’ My conscience chimed in.

‘I’m not having fun.’ I grumbled to myself. Memories of McClane and I in bed fucking our brains out then images of Dover as he devoured me against a closet door came flashing through my mind. I could hear the smugness in my conscience voice as he chuckled.

‘You might not be having fun now but you will soon.’ He said before disappearing.

“Any questions?” Troy asked the room. I sat there a bit ashamed I hadn’t been listening. Looking to Troy I could see his eyes twinkling at me.

“Alright let’s get ready and we can head out.” He said. One by one the others left leaving Troy and I alone.

“You weren’t listening at all were you?” He asked. Giving him a sheepish grin I shook my head no.

“I was too busy thinking about that kiss.” I said quietly. My admission caused Troy’s cheeks to color.

“Well… all we’re doing is upgrades on the current software at the outpost stations. It’s about fifty outpost stations in all and their scattered across four different countries.  You and your guys will be our guards keeping us nerds safe.” He said looking to his shoes. Suddenly it became really quiet. Looking to one another we stood there staring. It felt like we were back in that movie theater all over again.

“I missed you.” Troy whispered. Though I hadn’t given Troy much thought since our departure I couldn’t deny the feeling growing inside my chest.

“I missed you too.” I said meaning it. Collecting his folders Troy gave me a smile and disappeared from the room. I sat on the table trying to make sense of everything but I couldn’t. I wanted McClane. I wanted Dover and now I wanted Troy… as if it wasn’t already difficult.

‘Then stop being so damn greedy and pick one.’ My conscience said. Having enough of him I gave him the finger I grabbed my things and left the room.
