I furrow my brows in confusion.
"Did you realize that it was going to take a lot more than making new friends and doing things that you didn't used to do without him to heal?"
"I wouldn't be here if I had realized it sooner." I say honestly.
My whole "healing" process was anything but healing. I was just trying to forget about him. Rather than moving on.

Jade was a mystery even to me, who has known her for longer than Lorelai has. She was more of a puzzle that always had a missing piece. Mentally you can feel like you get Jade but once she goes quiet, you'll realize the piece is missing. Has been for a while.
