After the long day, we headed back to the office because that's where the boys were. Upon entering, we overheard the conversation between them. About the money spent.
"She only spent one hundred and forty thousand dollars. I have a feeling Lorelai is much worse." A voice I recognized as Stefanos said.
"Why is it a feeling?" Lorelai said walking in and Stefanos eyes widen in fear. She walked up to Ares' chair and stood behind it.
"I apologize-"
"I'm not going to eat you." She rolls her eyes before she places her hands under his chin and lifted it up.
When she comes to sit down, Stefano moved down two chairs for us and as we sat, we shoved the papers towards him. I took out his card and sheepishly smiled at him, already feeling apologetic.
"Thank you for the card, I'm sorry if I spent too much."
He shook his head, laughing quietly, "You spent less than I anticipated."
He gave me a look that made me shy away from his eyes. Knowing what Lorelai told me to do to him, I can't look at him without blushing. I can feel all eyes on us, his eyes on me.
"Should I be afraid to look at my balance?" Ares asked with a small nervous smile.
"No, I didn't spend that much." Lory lied through her teeth.
"Lorelai!" I exclaimed. Everyone laughed at my reaction and Lorelai rolled her eyes a little bit.
"Can I guess?" Dom said. "I'm thinking two hundred thousand."
"That is less than the dress." I shook my head with amusement.
"Was the dress made of gold?"
"Close but no." Lorelai banters with a smile.
"I'm thinking four hundred thousand." Stefano said. I looked at him and winked, sort of on instinct. He guessed the closest but I didn't know what I was thinking, winking at him like that.
He looked down and blushed at my wink, making me swoon over his slightly red cheeks.
"How much?" Dom asked.
"She spent a total of $648 941." Ares announced and everyone took their eyeballs out of their sockets.
"Again, not that much." Lorelai looked at her nails and picked at them.
