Pancakes

As I entered my room I was reminded of König by the flowers on the desk, god knows how they were still alive yet they were. I got a small vase and filed it with water, carefully putting the flowers in it. I smiled slightly seeing how pretty they looked yet still I wish I knew how to respond to him. I changed into what I usually sleep in and got into bed, exhausted. I checked my phone one last time before I went to sleep and saw that it was only 6pm. I didn't care and just fell asleep. I woke up at 1am, I was happy that I had gotten 6 hours of sleep, especially for the fact our mission was so early. I got up and went into the kitchen to get breakfast, Soap was in there trying to figure out how to use the toaster.

Once he noticed that I entered he called me over "hey.. do you have any clue how to use this thing?" He asked as he took a step back form it. I step closer and turned it on, putting a slice of bread in it for him. "Oh, thanks" he said smiling warmly as he looked up at me, I smiled back and then went over to the fridge to see what ingredients we had. There was just enough for around 8 pancakes. "Where are the others?" I asked as I began to take out the ingredients and set them up by the stove top. "Rudy and König are still asleep and the others are in the living room" he said as he stared at his toast. "Could you please ask them if they want pancakes? I'll mind your toast" I asked as I began to mix up the batter, he nodded in response and left the kitchen but not even two seconds later he came back in and said they all wanted pancakes.

I made pancakes, with Soap's help of course, and brought them into them. As soon as I walked in Alejandro got up and took some of them and began giving them to the others. Once all of us had one there were still two left but I kept them aside, as I glanced around for somewhere to sit I noticed there were no seats left in the living room. I walked over to Ghost and sat down on the floor next to him yet when he noticed he quietly offered for me to take his seat yet when I refused he seemed upset. "These are good" remarked Gaz as he took another bite of his pancake. Before I could respond to him Ghosts hands were under my shoulder, pulling me off the ground and onto his lap. I was about to jump off of him and yell at him but when I heard him speak I went silent and just stayed. "Stay." He whispered sternly in my ear as one of his hands wrapped across my waist to hold me there.

Ghost and I silently ate our pancakes as the others chatted, luckily it seemed the only person who noticed what Ghost had done was Price. I reached into my pocket and saw it was 2am, I leaned back to whisper into Ghost's ear. "I'm going to change into my gear" I whispered softly, causing his grip on my waist to loosen. While my head was still leaned back and it seemed like no one was looking, I kissed his neck gently before getting up and going to my room. Once in my room I did a quick warm up before changing into my tactical gear and dog tags, but keeping my helmet off until we got in the helicopter. I checked my phone again and saw it was still only 2:20 so I decided to make sure Rudy and König were up and give them the two pancakes I had put aside for them.

I got Rudy's pancake and knocked on his door and not long after a tired Rudy answered, he looked a bit surprised to see me but was happy when he saw the pancake. I told him the time and that he should get ready before I left for König's room. I was hesitant to knock because of our latest interactions but I knew I couldn't just leave him sleep in and miss the mission or at very least miss his breakfast so I knocked quietly. No response. I knocked again but still no response. After waiting a few minutes of knocking I just decided to check if his door was unlocked, it was. I opened it slowly and peered in, he was laying on his bed, sound asleep. As I looked at him I realised that his facecloth wasn't on but his face was still covered by his pillow. I knew that I probably shouldn't disturb him but I also knew I had to. I took a deep breath before entering quietly and walking over to him, placing my hand on his shoulder which immediately woke him. I jumped back in surprise of his sudden awakening and he sat upright immediately, he looked at me fir a second, his eyes squinted as he tried to figure out who I was as his room was dark. "Eh- Wer bist du?" He said quickly as his hand fumbled on his bed, seemingly looking for something to defend himself incase he thought I was an enemy. "König, it's Wren" I said as I placed my hand on his shoulder again to try to calm him down as I had noticed he was breathing pretty heavily.

"W-Wren?" He asked as he placed his hand on top of mine and interlocking his fingers with mine tightly, I nodded before speaking again "I brought you some food since it's almost time for our mission and I noticed you were still asleep" I said as I held out the plate with the pancake on it with my other hand. He smiled warmly as he looked up into my eyes and that was when I realised I could see his face, and it seemed that he wasn't trying to cover it. Either he wanted me to see it or he forgot he wasn't wearing his facecloth. He took the pancake before gesturing me to sit next to him which I did hesitantly.
