My thoughts were silenced and cut short by myself as the hangover truly began to set in. Every bone in my body ached, which I didn't think was possible as I wasn't aware that bones had nerves.. yet here we were.

I let out a groan as I got back up and walked over to the bathroom to have a shower since I smelt like a mix of Ghost and Vodka, i couldn't even begin to imagine what I did last night to smell like that. I turned on the shower but much to my dismay I found that someone had used all the hot water, I was on the brink of yelling when I stopped myself. "Be rational about this.. a cold shower couldn't be that bad... right?" I whispered to myself. Jesus was I wrong. I think it might have been the quickest shower in my life, or at least I tried to make it the quickest shower. When I emerged again I found that the coldness had actually worked in favour as it made the hickeys much less noticeable. I shrugged and smiled to myself as I exited and changed into some training gear as I wanted to practice my close combat because I felt I was a bit rusty at it, hadn't practiced it in a while and decided if I was going to be on that dumb mission I might as well be of some use.

Just as I was about to leave for the training hall I realised I had no clue what time I was getting picked up at for that stupid mission tomorrow, I better ask Price. I left and walked into his office, yet no one was inside. Strange.. he was always in there. I walked into the living room, Gaz was sitting there on his own reading. "Didn't know you were such a man for books?" I mentioned as I sat down on the other side of the couch and mimicked his sitting position, my back against the arm of the couch with my legs bent in front on the couch, stretching to the middle. The only difference was I had my arms crossed in front of me as I didn't have a book. He looked up and gave me a small smile "guess I'm full of surprises" he joked back which actually earned a small laugh from me. "What's your rank mate?" He asked as he put down his book and crossed his arm, now he was mimicking me. "lieutenant, you?" I asked back, he gave me a slightly confused look before speaking again. "Hm.. that makes two lieutenants, strange. Anyway though I'm a Sargent" he finally followed up with.

Two lieutenants, one team? haven't come across that before.. Who could the other be?? "Who's the other lieutenant?" I asked as I sat up slightly "he didn't tell you??" He asked back as he looked up at me with a confused expression, I shook my head in response and he raised his brows. "Your man" he said as he leaned back. I looked at him with a confused look before copping it, he was talking about him, Ghost. Why wouldn't he tell me?? I mean actually now that I thought about it no one every really discussed their ranks so it somewhat made a little sense . But still, I feel if your having an affair with someone they should at least tell you their rank.

I felt a small kick to my shin and was instantly snapped out of my thoughts that I had gotten lost in. Gaz had gently kicked me and faced me a somewhat concerned look "you ok mate?" I looked up at him for a minute, trying to process what he had just asked me. I quickly shook my head "uh- yeah, just thinking.. by the way do you know where I'd find the Captain? I have some questions for him" you asked, getting back to the point you had originally intended on asking when I sat down before getting completely off track. He thought for a moment before nodding "maybe, if he isn't in his office I'd say try his room" he said as he picked back up his book. I gave him a warm smile before which he returned almost instantly "thanks, enjoy your book by the way" I said as I got up and started walking, I could hear a small chuckle escape his lips before I turned the corner.

Price's room.. where the fuck was that. I looked around and decided to just knock on any door that I hadn't knocked on before. Knock knock. Rudy opened the door, his eyes were red and puffy, he had been crying. "Are you ok?" I couldn't help but ask, it was just a reflex you had picked up over time that you felt you'd get shot if you didn't ask after seeing someone who obviously wasn't ok. He shook his head as a deep frown spread across his face before he suddenly hugged me tightly and began to sob quietly onto my shoulder. I was completely caught off guard by this sudden act but just hugged him back and did my best with my fairly shit social skills to comfort him by rubbing his back comfortingly. "Hey, hey.. it's ok" I mumbled quietly, trying to stop his crying even though it was obvious that it wasn't making an impact on his state. I hesitated for a moment before speaking again, I thought hard before deciding to talk about what you felt you needed to ask him. "Is this about Alejandro..?" His head instantly show up and looked at you, a mix of confusion and shock covering his face along with a lot of tears. "How do you know.." he whispered back, it wasn't exactly a question, more like he was talking to himself so I chose not to say anything else and just maintain eye contact with him.
