by the time Price had informed Laswell's team and they got to y/n it was too late, she was dead. All of that team was shocked at how south this mission had gone, that now one of the top soldiers in special forces was just gone, just like that. The put any evidence they could find around the scene in plastic evidence bags yet all that was there was Simon's dog tags and his pocket knife..
A few days later after the murder the rest of task force 141 came home from their deployment, wondering where i was since Price hadn't been able to tell them what had happened to y/n during their mission. Price brought all of them into the meeting room, including Gaz since he too had just been discharged from the hospital. They all sat down, noticing the empty seat where Wren had usually sat. "your lieutenant Y/n L/n.. codename Wren, was killed in action two days ago..." Price said slowly as if he himself didn't want to say the words. All the teams hearts dropped hearing it, Soap even beginning to tear up as he looked at Price, praying to god that Price would say he was joking or something. Simon was silent, everything in his world seemed to run still. He just stared aimlessly at the table, his fists clenched so tightly that his nails were starting to tear the skin on his palms. He didn't want to accept it, his world had just come crashing down. y/n was the last part of the world that truely felt like family to him after loosing his own, but now? now she was gone...
"I'm sorry.. it was a surprised attack on her mission and no one could have predicted it..." Price said sadly as he looked away to the side, unable to look the team in their teary eyes any longer. "I thought maybe you'd want these back tho Simon.." Price said before pushing the two small plastic baggies down the table to him, one with the knife still with remnants of y/n's blood on it and the other of his dog tags that he had given her after she narrowly escaped death from Graves. His eyes hesitantly looked at the bags, a lump forming in his throat as he saw them.. knowing there was no longer any denying that she really was gone. "this is my fault... this is all my fucking fault..!" Simon whispered silently beneath his tone, angrily from the overwhelming sadness that he felt at that very moment. "She fucking because of my knife, i should have been there to save her, i should have been the one who died.. not her..." Simon whispered quietly as he brought his hand to his mouth from shock, unable to stop his silent sobs as tears streamed from his eyes, leaving streaks of his skin exposed from beneath his face black.
He couldn't handle this anymore, he just stood up angrily and left, quickly running to his room. he went in and slammed his door as he just fell to his knees, feeling all his emotions running free as he realised that that really was our last night, i had foreshadowed our ending. our hearts that once heated in unison, were now still, or at least mine. He was shattered, he felt he couldn't breathe, he felt he couldn't do anything except sob. Simon always was a cold person who never let his emotions show, but when he met y/n, he felt difference, he'd take off his mask around her because he didn't want to be Ghost with her, he wanted to be Simon. He just felt so torn, we wished that we was the one who had bled rather than her. "i wish i could have saved you... please forgive me..." he whispered pained as he clutched your dog tags in his hands tightly.
"i'm so, so... so sorry, y/n...l
