It felt almost as if I had zoned out as I was shooting, no thoughts, just kill. Like I was some sort of robot programmed to shoot. I was only snapped back into reality when I felt a trickle of sweat slide down my forehead before getting caught in my brow, the sensation causing my eyes to widen momentarily. As I glanced back at the now blood-soaken battle field that layed in front of me, three people left. Yet just as soon as my mind could process that they had all been shot down. I glanced over to Soap and he gave me a smile that was practically dripping with adrenaline, I smiled back and released my gun and slouched back. I hadn't realised just how much of my energy had been waisted on adrenaline until now but at least it seemed Soap was having the same reaction.

"Cease fire! Good work team!" Prices voice echoed around the partially silent room, the only sound apart from Price was Soap's and my heavy breathing. "I knew you were good.. but never that good!" Soap said brightly as he looked over at me, I smiled and slightly chuckled in return before my thoughts were quickly overrun with Ghost. "Thanks, I better check up on Ghost though" i said as I got up and began to go up the stairs, Soap gave me a quick nod of understanding before I went out of his vision.

As I went up those rickety stairs I began to smile brightly, thinking of him being happy with the outcome of the mission but my smile quickly faded when I saw him. His back was slumped against the wall by the window and he looked tired and weak. there also the part of his Balaclava that was covering his left cheek was roughly ripped, exposing some of his skin and Also a reasonably large gash on his face that seemed to be bleeding pretty badly. "Shit, Simon!-" I said as I ran over to him quickly, kneeling next to him and cupping his chin in my hand as I tilted his head towards me so I could see the wound better. "Are you ok?!" I asked as I wiped away a bit of the dripping blood with my fingers, my hands slightly trembling from worry "just a scratch..." he mumbled back as he closed his eyes tightly, obviously from pain, most likely from the pressure of my finger near his cheek which immediately caused me to pull back my hand away from him in fear of putting him in anymore discomfort.

"This is worse than a scratch Simon!" I said back in return as he began to get up, pushing me aside and out of his way "we should just be happy it was my cheek and not my head." He said sternly as he began to go down the stairs, leaving me alone of the the third floor. Wtf was wrong with him?? I understand that no one wants to get hurt but why was acting so cold towards me?? I was just trying to help...

I went down a few minutes after him and saw Johnny packing up our equipment so I went over to him and helped. "What's up with the big fella?" He asked as i slung my rifle over my shoulder and put my leftover bullets in a pouch "I wish I knew.." I mumbled in response. Once we were fully packed we went downstairs and out to the centre of the town where Price and the others were waiting, including Ghost. I didn't stand right next to him and instead a few steps behind which he seemed to notice when he glanced back and saw me. I didn't say a word at all, yet neither did Ghost, all we did was listen to Price's talk about the mission. As soon as he finished the talk about the mission we all began the hike back to the helicopter. It felt like it took hours, the silence of Ghost and i eating me from the inside.

We stayed in silence as we approached the helicopter and even when we got in. The helicopter took off much smoother than last time. One thing about me what that I hated silence, absolutely hated it, it felt like torture to me. I had to break it, it was killing me.
"Ghost.." I started with quietly causing him to glance down at me "please at least go to the med bay when we get back..." I mumbled quietly, i almost felt scared to see what his reaction would be. He nodded silently before diverting his gaze back in front of him, i let out a sigh as I closed my eyes and leaned forward slightly. Did I do something? Something to deserve this silent treatment?

What the fuck could I had possibly done?? I mean I wasn't the bitch who shot him, I didn't do anything except try to make sure he was ok! "Fuck sake, Simon.." I whispered quietly beneath my breath, to quiet for him or anyone to hear. But I meant it. The rest of that trip I stayed quiet aswell as Soap and Simon. Once we landed Ghost was first to get off but much to my annoyance he didn't go to the medical building and instead straight to his room. All I was trying to do was help him yet he was being such a bitch about it. I got off last, not really wanting to talk anymore. I was tired and hungry as I seemed to be to caught up on keeping a look out back there than eating some of the food that had been left there for us. Nothing I could do about it now though.
