You flinched. You were scared.
Those were the only things Riddle managed to see in that moment. You said no as well. Which is plenty enough of an answer for Riddle. In his mind any decision made by fear, was no decision at all. You weren't about to leave with a person who clearly was making you uncomfortable.
"Why? Monsieur Roseheart, You must know they have a curfew of their own, they must return home. I figured a person with such high discipline and obedience to following rules would understand that." Rook purred, Riddle only looking up at the unamused. He only felt annoyed, no... Ticked off. No. He was mad. His cheeks ever so slowly regaining his signature red hue.
"That is true. However, Yuuka are already aware of their current circumstances. I am well aware Yuuka would allow their presence here over anywhere else, my opinion doesn't differ." Riddle began to rise for his seat once more, he had promised to not have another blow out but he couldn't just stand by and let to your word be defied.
"I am simply-"
"No. You are in my dorm and you shall respect my rules. They aren't going anywhere. And that is final. Not unless Yuuka, Ace, Or Deuce return to collect them, themselves." Riddle stepped around the table, never once looking away from the blonde. The entire time both you and Cater shifted, uncomfortable with the tension.
"Monsieur... You are so strick! I applaud your dedication to rules! But Mon lapin must return home, you know-"
"There is plenty of space for them here. You may leave." Riddle now stood in front of the mad, glaring up at him. Although, from the perspective of Rook, it was like looking down at a chihuahua, small and angry. If he wanted too... he could kick that little puppy. Really.
"With all respect-"
"LEAVE. Respect my rules, or I shall report this behavior back to the headmaster." His face now as red as his hair, cheeks puffed up and eyebrows slanted. Rook blinked at the boy for a second, not expecting such an outburst before bowing to the boy and his word.
"Yes, at once Monsieur Roseheart..."
Rook tucked his head away, quickly walking off as the room filled with silence. You could see Riddles posture slowly returning to normal, his eyes meeting your own, he looked at you with nothing but concern. Cater swallowed thickly, slowly stepping out of the room to avoid conflict.
A strong hand was placed on Cater's shoulder ushering him out of the room, that being none other than Trey. Coming in to see all the commotion, or more less, fix it.
Cater grimaced, knowing full well he might have to sleep with earbuds in tonight if this behavior kept up. He just wanted to chat with you for the night, but riddle beef always managed to sour his mood. He never realized how much it did so, until he noticed that the strands of hair he'd always twirl would be ripped out unintentionally by his grip.
Trey crossed his arms, staring at the red head with a disappointed expression, "Riddle, we talked about this." He warned, usually siding with his childhood friend, but at this very moment, he wanted to remind the boy that lashing out at people was no way to live. He had to start controlling his anger.
"You aren't noticing what I am noticing, Trey. They were uncomfortable, I won't tolerate that in my dorm. I won't tolerate treatment that makes those who are dear to me uncomfortable, ever. Not to mention that kind of behavior is not tolerated in this dorm."
Riddle believed many things. Riddle lived by many rules and he had no trouble enforcing this new one. Deep down in his heart, he had already began to grow attached to you. A part of him believed was because he exposed himself in a moment of vulnerability. Another part believed that it was because he viewed you as a genuine friend.
