"SOMEONE TRIED TO KILL US!"

"HUH??!" You yelled as you nearly fell off the couch. Jack gripped onto you, confused and startled awake as the trio walked in with an arrow. You scampered away from Jack, not wanting to embarrass him nor yourself. But it was evident you fell asleep on him nonetheless. Not only was your air wild, but his tail shed and the fur was covering your clothing.

"No one tried to kill us, idiot!" Yuuka smacked Ace over the head for scaring you, he grinned as she did. He came up to you smuggly as your mind was to slow to process anything, hold a paper in front of you and waving it.

"What's that?" You sighed, as if the previous statement wasn't even said. You ignored the arrow completely, feeling unamused by the group that disturbed your sleep.

"Guess."

"A restraining order."

"N.. no! We've been selected for VDC! We'll be practicing at Pomefiore, isn't that awesome?" You nodded, smiling as your eyes slowly began to shut once more, you began leaning on the other arm of the couch, drifting back to sleep.

"Yeah, that is congrats..." Ace went red. How could you be ignoring him? Ignoring this? Couldn't you read? Yuuka smiled lovingly at the sight while Ace just gripped your shoulders shaking you a bit.

"H..Hey! Are you even awake!? Get up! Have you even read it? It says you've been selected too, idiot!"

"WHAT!?"

If you weren't awake then you definitely were now. You snatched the paper out of his hands, reading it over and over. The contents clearing stating at the end Ace Trappola, Deuce Spade, Yuuka, And [Name] to report to the Pomefiore ballroom after school. You had a random sputtering of words escape your lips.

"HOW!? I DIDN'T EVEN.. I? I didn't even audition! How have I ever been selected?" They all shrugged. Grim hopped up on your lap, staring at the letter along with you. It really did say your name as well. Maybe they knew everyone was a package deal?

"Whatever it may be. They want you there." Deuce murmured, gently grasping the note and reading it over himself. Before folding it up and shoving it into his pocket.

"You don't have to go." Jack intervened. He could hear your heartbeat, the rate it was going accelerated at an alarming rate past your resting heart rate. You were scared. He could hear it, he could feel it like a sixth sense.

You began to chew on your lip. Epel didn't want you to go to the dorm. You'd hold off for a while. As much as you could. You weren't going unless absolutely need be. That being Rook coming to collect you. Which you hoped wasn't the case. You weren't really interested in being there. Especially if it ment performing.

"Ah.. I.. I don't think I'll be accepting this. Y'all go on without me. I haven't even gotten ready yet. Let alone went to school, in which, I'm sorry for making you miss class, Jack." Jack huffed, he could handle one day. Just one though. He really couldn't tolerate not being in class and missing school.

"Mmm, shoot yourself then! We'll see you later!~ When were done we'll show off our dances! Oooo, also, Yuuka is making dinner tonight. So, we'll be staying over! Sweet!" Ace shrugged, turning around as Grim hopped off your lap following him and Deuce in pursuit.

You sighed, listening to them leave. The door shut and they were gone as soon as they came. Jack listened as well, waiting for them to be far before scooting closer to you. A strong hand grasped your own, you flinched looking back up.

"Yo? What's bothering you? You looked scared." Looked was a strong statement. The truth was he could just hear you, but you didn't know that. You wanted to tell him about Epel. You wanted to tell him that you were supposed to distance yourself from Pomefiore. But you didn't, you squeezed his hand back, listening to his tail beginning to wag, hitting the fabric of the couch.

"Nothing. It's fine. I gotta get ready for a few things. I'ma go study and catch up on what I missed."

"Of course, I'll see you later. Message me if you need anything. Anything at all." You nodded, letting go of his hand as he got up his tail still wagging as you watched him leave. You couldn't help but giggle at the sight. He was such a sweetheart yet a tsundere at the same time.

Waving him goodbye, you scattered away to do things around the house. The first thing that came to mind, was checking up on those wishes. You had dedicated a room to them, making sure it was off limits to everyone else.

The door was decorated in little drawn stars and clean of any type of dust. This was technically your room. But you never slept in it. You used it as storage and slept with Yuuka instead. You preferred things that way, less lonely. More comforting as well. You felt safe that way.

You opened the door to find a room scattered with wishes, it looked like a night sky. Some brighter then others, some smaller then others. They all hummed their own tunes and some even shown in different colors. You locked the door behind you, lying down on a fluffy circle rug in the middle, staring at each of them burn.

The only sad thing was that some wishes were close to dying. You stared at one that was on the floor, it flew weakly, it looked so sad. Scooping it up in your fingers, you held it to your chest listening to it's voice.

"I.. I wish I was able to communicate the way I want, I wish my friends would actually be my friends instead of people that are scared of me. I'm sorry. Maybe I.. should leave. Maybe RSA would be a better place for me. Or maybe..."

"No place at all." You murmured in synch with it. It burned within your fingers, making your hands ache in pain. The star was dying. Stars died for a few reasons. Dreams and wishes die, or the wish they've made isn't the one they want. You could tell from the tone of voice, it isn't there wish. But they've made it anyways.

You needed to help the person. But you couldn't remember who's voice it was. You listened to it again and again. The voice always sounding as if it was on the verge of tears. Until the name finally came to mind. This was Riddle Roseheart.

"I wish you were more careful with your words, dear friend. I'm here for you, Riddle. No need to leave, no need to feel unwanted. There is always a place where someone does, you'll always have me as well. And I promise you, I don't fear you. Nor does anyone else. I promise to help you, sweet little roseheart."
