Yuuka arose that morning, her eyes still puffy and sore from the previous night. Lighting poking at Grim's soft fur until he stirred awake. She needed him this morning to heat a kettle for her, Yuuka figured she'd make you something to start your morning herself, instead of Vil. She knocked on the door lightly to make her presence known,
"You can't sleep forever, [Name]! You have to get up, you need your medicine and a good start to the day."
Scooping up Grim and carrying him to your temporary bedroom, she pulled at her necklace, tucked into her shirt to securely keep watch of the key. She hummed with pleasure as she opened the door, ready to see her best friend. Grim squirmed out of her arms and hopped over to your bed, poking at the cold covers.
"[Name]? Hello?"
Yuuka's eyebrows furrowed at Grim's confusion and she ripped the sheets off the bed, taking Grim down with them. Empty. It was empty. Panic filled her heart as she looked around the room in confusion, noticing the open window and feeling herself get sick. You wouldn't. Would you? And soon that very horror became her reality.
Ripping the loose curtains out of the way, she stared out the open window at the crushed bush below with traces of your blood decorating them like a bad omen. She felt herself go faint at the sight, stumbling into a dresser, knocking the vase atop of it over. Grim had already caught on to the reason behind Yuuka anxious state.
"[Name]!?"
She rushed out of the room, the sounds of her worry shaking the dorm in such a way, others began to arise as well. Running down the stairs, she froze at the sight of you on the common rooms couch. She sighed, but her fear quickly turned into that of an anger. She walked up, ripping the blanket off exposing your sleepy state.
She brought her gaze to the various scratches over your skin, feeling lightheaded. Like an angry mother, she shook you awake, startling you out of slumber. Her grip sickeningly tight on your arms, sucking the color out and leaving temporary skin discoloration due to the blood flood. Your brain wasn't awake enough for you to reach to her emotion.
"I... What?"
"What!? What do you mean what!?"
"I mean... What? What's wrong?" Her eyebrows furrowed as her grip increased. She wanted to drag you back to her room with her and lock everything so tight the thought of leaving wouldn't even cross your mind.
"Did you or did you not jump out a two story window?" Your muscles trembled in her tight grasp, you've never seen her so upset before.
"Well."
"Did you?!"
"Well, yes but-"
"Oh sevens... [NAME], you can't do that. You could've died. Have you no care for your well-being?!" It's not like you haven't died already was the first thought that went through your mind. But quickly was erased with her deep concern. You knew she would react like this. You didn't blame her. You'd probably do the same thing if she had done that.
"S..sorry? I just.. you.. Everyone's been treating me like a animal, Yuuka. Including you. Do you think I want this? I don't want to be here against my will. This is supposed to be my home. Not my fucking prison." Yuuka blinked at your words, her cheeks tainted red with anger, she dragged you off the couch, lugging you over her shoulder.
"Hey! Put me down! YUUKA. Put me down-"
"Shut up. I love you to death, we all do. You just can't do things like that. Please understand our concern for you-" With her free hand she rubbed the bridge of her nose as stress boiled within her. The feeling of you thrashing only made her get up the stairs faster making you push at her to try and get away.
"I UNDERSTAND. I really, really do. I understand that what I did was uncalled for. I should've been more careful, I should've thought about the consequences about how I could've died... But Yuuka, I hate living like an ANIMAL. Because I am not."
"To me it seems like you are. A sickly little rabbit. Mon lapin, Yuuka's words hold truth." Rook purred, inserting himself into the conversation as Yuuka opened the door to her room, she turned towards him with a glare.
"You. You have no place in this conversation. Nor would I like you telling people about it. Zip it blondie." Yuuka hissed at him, throwing you into her room and shutting the door. You weakly stood up the ground, hitting against the door for her to let you out as the sound of it locking with a key snuffed out your hopes. You turned around blinking at the sight of boarded up windows. You forgot Yuuka had recently put them back up a few weeks ago...
"I wish you could value your life little more. I don't understand how you can't see that their are so many people around who value you. How come you don't? All the more reason to... to... No... I.. this isn't me. I... I'm sorry, truly. Lately, I haven't been able to control myself. Oh my.. what is wrong with me. I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry."
