All the participants were now warming up and stretching in the massive gymnasium. The first stage of tryouts were minutes away from beginning.

"Dude, what's Timothy doing? Taking a wicked dump?! It's about to start man!", Jessica exclaimed. "He did not specify how long he would take," Lucas replied. "Are you sure he said he was going to the bathroom?", Brian desperately asked Lucas, looking upset and stressed.

Maxwell put his hand on Brian's shoulder and said with a snarky face, "Worry not dear friends. The great Timothy has most likely gotten lost. However! Even I, the great and almighty Maxwell has gotten lost a few hundred times in places much smaller. If he truly is almost as great as I am, I am sure he will turn up eventually."

*POUUUEEEPP*

A loud whistle rangout throughout the entirety of the gym. Everybody turned their attention over where it had came from. It was a line of teachers, standing in front of all the participants. One of them, a young woman, had the whistle in one hand.

She announced to the crowd, "Now that I got all you loud ass kids' attention, listen up! The name's Ms. Tommy! Me and all these cool guys and gals next to me are the teachers of the Mastery Academy! And we're about to work your little asses to the bone! Starting now! Go!"

In a matter of seconds, all the participants started rushing to each of the gym training stations. Confused and hesitant, Maxwell exclaimed to the other three, "Wait! We cannot begin without our dear friend Timothy!"

Brian yelled back in response over the noise, "Damn it! We might have to start without him! We just need to hope he hurries and gets here!" Jessica replied, "I mean, I guess. Timothy wouldn't want us waiting on him. Like the one time at the ice cream-" "Don't bring up Jess," said Brian.

Lucas, however, gave Maxwell, Jessica and Brian a displeased look. "I will not begin without my friend," Lucas said with slight raise in his deep voice.

Brian gritted his teeth and yelled back at Lucas, "Bro! Stop trying to act like you're a some better friend than us to Timothy! He's family and as family we believe he'll get here! There's no point in waiting!"

Lucas gave him a colder glare and responded, "There's no changing my mind. Go."

Maxwell, still being slightly afraid of Lucas, quickly replied, "Well you heard the man! Let's go!"

Brian looked mad however. He was about to say something back at Lucas, until Jessica stopped him by tapping him shoulder. She gave Brian a shrug and signaled to him to follow Maxwell with her, who was already running over to one of the training stations. Brian nodded to her and gave Lucas one last dirty look, before following behind Jessica over to Maxwell.

Lucas now stood alone by the gym entrance with his arms crossed. As he watched all the other participants beginning their training, all he could think was, "Where's Timothy? Why's he taking so long?"
