The tryouts had finally came to a close. The snow had stopped falling, and the winter sky was gradually becoming pink, as it was nearing five in the afternoon.
Outside of the stadium, Timothy, Brian, and Jessica all awaited Jessica's parent's to arrive to pick them up. Maxwell's ride had already picked him up moments ago. Lucas was still with them however, as he was waiting until Timothy left first, before taking himself back home to his mansion.
Lucas watched on as the last of the students exited the stadium. Brian was silently scrolling through his phone. And Timothy was simply looking down at the snow, deep in thought.
To break the awkward silence, Jessica smiled and said, "Sooooo, hash tag classmates! Seriously though, dude, what are the odds of all of us being in the same class? It's crazy awesome."
Still looking down, Timothy replied in a defeated tone, "Maybe you guys are. I'm not so sure if I really am until tomorrow."
Jessica put her arm around his neck and replied, "Pftt, don't worry about it dude. You totally got that spot. He's just being tough on you because... uh-" "Because I'm weak?" replied Timothy half heartedly.
Jessica then pulled Timothy's head down and gave him a noogie. "Stop! Being! Freaking! Sad!" Jessica said in a funny voice, rubbing Timothy's head with her knuckle.
"C'mon! Knock it off!" Timothy chuckled, as he freed himself from Jessica's clutches. He blushed a bit while laughing.
Brian looked up from his phone and said, "If that were me back there, getting embarrassed like that in front of everyone, I'd cry and never show my face again. But you took it like a man. If you can get through that, whatever comes tomorrow should be no problem for you."
Hearing that, Timothy looked at Brian and smiled. "Thanks." Brian noded with a small smile of his own, and looked back down at his phone.
"Awww, look at Brian. Being a little tsundere. Just can't stay mad at your bro huh?" Jessica joked while nudging Brian's arm. "Shut up Jess," Brian replied, sounding annoyed, yet trying not to crack a smirk.
Timothy glanced over to Lucas, who was staring out into the distance like a deer in headlights. "Hey Lucas, you ready for tomorrow?" Timothy asked.
Lucas turned to Timothy and replied, "I felt anxious about the idea at first. However, if you are prepared, then I am as well."
Timothy nodded and replied, "Good." After reassuring Lucas, Timothy turned back to Brian and Jessica. They both wore bothered expressions upon listening to Lucas speak. An instant, disheartened look filled Timothy's face.
At the same time, Jessica received a text notification from her father. "Yo guys, they're parked down the street." Hearing that, Brian stretched and yawned the words, "About time. I'm cold and I'm beat."
Brian and Jessica both started walking over to the block where the car was parked. That was, until they realized that Timothy wasn't following. "Hey Tim, you uh, coming dude?" Jessica turned around and asked, looking confused.
"You guys go ahead. Hey Lucas, you fly home, right?" asked Timothy, turning back to Lucas. "Wait, Timothy, you're not coming with us? Why-" "Let's just go Jess," said Brian in a bothered voice, as he continued walking.
Still looking back at Timothy, Jessica had frowned, before she turned to walk alongside Brian. "Oh Timothy," Jessica thought to herself, as she walked down the snow filled pavement.
"I do. Why ask?" Lucas replied in response to Timothy's question. "Fly me home," said Timothy out of the blue. "Wait, what? Are you... sure?" Lucas questioned with a bewildered face.
