Timothy continued guiding Lucas through the city as Jessica followed along. Lucas felt uncomfortable the entire time in the public. Suddenly, Jessica asked, "Hey Lucas, dude, are you like, single?" Lucas replied, "I have been by myself for many years, so I suppose that means I am single in this endless torture chamber we call life." Jessica said, "I have no idea what you just said dude." Timothy just stayed quiet.
Jessica went up to Timothy and asked, "Why are you so quiet all of a sudden Tim? You're usually the happy and expressive one dude. You feeling alright?" Timothy blushed because of how close Jessica was to him. He was too nervous to reply, so he just shrugged his shoulders. Jessica said, "You're both too quiet right now. I'm gonna call Brian to lighten things up." Lucas asked, "Who is Brian?" Jessica replied, "He's my other bff along with Timothy. Brian's really smart like you sound Lucas. But I call him four eyes because of his glasses." Lucas whispered to Timothy, "I would like to leave now. I didn't think there would be so many other people joining us." Timothy replied, "It's okay Lucas. It's just gonna be us four together. And all three of you guys are my friends, so maybe you, Jessica, and Brian can all become great friends as well. Besides, I think you're already friends with Jessica considering how she feels about you, and Brian is super cool too." Lucas smiled and said, "Alright then. I'll stay. But I'm still uncomfortable."
Eventually, Timothy and Jessica saw Brian running towards them from around the corner of the city block, waving his hand. Once he came over to them, he smiled and asked, "How is it going guys? And who is this? I've never seen him before." Timothy replied, "This is Lucas. I met him yesterday. He looked depressed and needed a friend, and I volunteered. Today, I was showing him around the city. He told me he had never seen it as a normal person since he only left his mansion for food for him and his cat." Jessica asked, "Dude, why did you stay in that mansion for all those years alone with your cat? Where's your parents dude?" Lucas stayed quiet and gave Jessica a death stare. Jessica put her hands up with a concerned smile on her face and said, "Umm you know what, let's just forget I asked that. Cool? Cool." Brian replied, "I guess it's personal. So let's not ask about it. Anyways, I'm happy to meet you Lucas."
Brian then put out his arm to shake Lucas's hand. Lucas slowly put his hand out and shook back. Lucas's death stare didn't go away though. Brian looked nervous and said, "Well, uh, is anyone down for some pizza? I'll pay for it." Jessica and Timothy both smiled and nodded. Lucas just stayed quiet and followed. Brian whispered to Timothy, "Your new friend is kinda scary." Jessica replied, "He's not scary, he's scary and hot dude." Timothy said, "He's my friend like both of you so could you guys all try to get along?" Brian and Jessica both looked at each other concerned, then looked back at Timothy with a smile. "Alright," they replied.
Eventually, they all arrived at the pizza shop and found a table. Lucas's face hadn't changed at all still. Timothy whispered, "What's wrong Lucas?" Lucas looked at all them and said, "Society as a whole is what's wrong. Life is just a chance to grow a soul. Once there's no more room in hell, the streets will flood with eternal darkness and slowly eat us alive. But I do not fear death. Those who fear they will suffer, already suffer because they fear it. It's all already foretold, but you all just don't know it yet." All three of them looked at Lucas with a horrified expression on their faces.
