Lucas looked around and saw everybody there staring at him with a horrified expression on all their faces. Each and every single one of the stares made Lucas feel even worse than he already felt. He looked down, his hair covering his eyes, and without a word, he flew off. Timothy, still afraid, stood up, looked up, and yelled, "Lucas! Waaait!" When Lucas heard Timothy yell his name, he slightly glanced back with a depressed expression on his face, going invisible to be out of sight as flew away into the night sky.
30 minutes later, he arrived at his mansion on the top of the hill on the outskirts of the city. As soon as he got back inside, his immense anger caused his powers to reawaken, sending almost everything inside flying around violently everywhere. He gritted his teeth and yelled to himself, "How could you be such a fool Lucas!? Now everyone thinks I'm a monster! What the hell am I doing?! Why is my life just an endless hell!?!" Panting and sweating, he began freaking out while holding his head, gripping his hair tightly. He was losing his entire mind. Even his cat was afraid of him at that moment. Suddenly, Lucas began stumbling back, still pulling on his hair, into his dark kitchen. Once he regained balance, he quickly opened up a drawer and grabbed a large, sharp knife out of it. He held it to his throat and slowly chanted, "Sheep...sheep....sheep, it's time to sleep."
About to end his own life, he heard a knock at his door. The knock snapped Lucas out of it, dropping the knife and falling onto his knees. He grabbed his chest, took a deep breath, got up, and walked to his front door. But he didn't open it once he got to the door. From the other side, Lucas said, "Whoever is out there, leave, and never return." The person on the other side replied, "Lucas, it's me, Timothy. I just wanted to apologize for how bad today was for you. This is all my fault." Lucas looked down and replied, "I already figured it was you. Go away, please."
Timothy clenched his fist, scrunched up his face, "I never told you this, but I've always wanted to be a hero. That's why, I'm always trying to help people and see the best in them. From the moment I met you yesterday, I could tell you were somebody in need of help! I wanted to save you from the idea of taking your own life! That's why I wanted to be your friend! To be there for you and help you see good in life. If I can't even do that, how can I call myself a hero? After today, with what happened to you, and my hesitation to save two of my childhood bestfriends, I know how you feel. I feel horrible! I'm sorry, Lucas." Lucas replied, "So that is your reasoning. You only befriended me and tried help me, just so you could come closer to reaching your own goal in becoming a hero. How selfish." Shocked, Timothy wiped his tears and replied, "What!? No that's not just it! I meant everything I said yesterday Lucas! You deserve to see the good in the world!"
Lucas clenched his fist and yelled, "Leave! Now! Or else." Timothy jumped back from the door, intimidated by Lucas's warning. Holding back his tears, he swiftly replied, "Goodbye Lucas," running away before anymore tears fell from his eyes." Once again, Lucas had went from angry to the feeling of guilt in a matter of seconds, walking away from his front door and back into the shadows of the mansion.
Around the time midnight struck, Lucas began writing in his journal. He wrote, "I just stood there afraid as my father took my mother's life. That's why I had to save Timothy's friends. My friends. I promised myself to never let anyone be killed because I just stood there and did nothing to stop it. Perhaps Timothy was too afraid of the results of his actions and couldn't step in to stop the incoming tragedy. He acted just like me all those years ago. Now, I feel this overwhelming guilt for driving him away, because he's just like me, and what had happened today was a result of my own actions. What is wrong with me. Now I have nobody but Smokey once more, and even he is afraid of me now. Now, it's time for another night of no sleep. Sleep doesn't help if it's your soul that's tired..."
