Chapter 4: ' I love you dad'

Kim walked out of the office with a bag in her hand and everyone was wondering why she was so far away from the case today.
Hailey came up the stairs to intelligence and addressed the team.

' okay, they said that she's all bruised up, no sign of rape. She's out of it right now so her parents asked if we could see her tomorrow'

' I think it's best we all go home and start fresh tomorrow you know' sergant benson spoke and her team members nodded.

' yeah. Okay everyone go home start 9am sharp in the morning' Kim took the chance to go before anyone had the chance to see her.

' burgess, burgess wait' Jays voice interrupted her walking. She closed her eyes trying to form up an answer and she already knew what his question would be.

' what's up with you? Why are you running so quickly? Is everything okay?' Halstead asked being concerned.

' yeah it is, I just want to get home you know and go bed... long day. ' she pretended to yawn, trying to get out this situation.

' uh you know where uh' he just didn't want to say her name even After all this time. He thought if he would say it he would break.

' Erin that's her name, she's at home' Kim answered walking away.

' H- Home where?' He stuttered cause the only place he classed his ' home' was the one they shared together, the one where they shared all their memories, the one where he left first and then she did but instead of just leaving their home she left the state.

' at Voights.. jay listen she's gonna be here for a while and then maybe you can talk to her. But for today you need rest, it's been a long day.' Kim spoke casually and she walked away closing her eyes at her answer. Now jay would definitely have questions in how she knows, but it looked like he wasn't paying closely enough.

Jay Halstead knew something was up because she was lying. But didn't know what it was. So he thought he would just go home for the night and he will have to talk to her tomorrow.

' do you guys have a place to stay?' Hank asked his friend Olivia.

' yeah we have booked a hotel. So Erins staying with you?' Benson asked looked around the room was her, olinksy , fin and amaro. They all knew about Erin.

' yeah she is, until this case is over and then we will talk about the rest' hank rubbed his forehead.

' please keep us infrormed about Lindsey, I know we'll see her tomorrow but let her know we are always here if she needs us ' Amaro spoke out for their fellow team mate.

' thank you guys, I uh really appreciate you all being there for Erin' he said with a smile, proud and happy that Erin had people to be by her side.

' she's one of us, we will always take care of her' fin spoke getting his jacket on.

' okay we will see you tomorrow say hi to Erin for us' Olivia grabbed her jacket and headed out with the team, leaving olinskey and hank.

Kim Ran inside voights house, looking and saw that her and Will were laughing at something.

' and.. what .. is going on here' Kim said out of breath handing Erin her bag.

' what's wrong with you? Looks like a dog chased you' Will said laughing as Kim took her medicines out and gave them to Erin.

'uh oh nothing, had to get out of there before anyone saw me that's all' she spoke, she didn't want to tell about Jay because she knew it would hurt her than she already is.

Jay Halstead, former ranger. Now detective walked into his home and sat down on his couch. He grabbed a beer and chugged it down. She was here. She's right infront of him. And all he wanted to do is hug her and never let her go. But there was something going on and he didn't know what it was. He broke out of his bubble when he got a text from his brother to join him in mollys for a while. He jumped up, grabbed his jacket and left the ampartment he needed to talk to his brother.
