It was officially one day before the big wedding, the one wedding in which everyone was hoping for and everyone was over the moon with this wedding. Voight had given everyone the day off before so they could relax before the big day and get some things ready for tomororw. But he was here at the office, he didn't want to leave Erin, but she said to him that she was going to go out with Burgess and some other people from Med and fire, so he came here instead and of course Justin was going back to his own house till grab a couple of things.

He was currently looking at the wedding card. That was given to him by Erin and Jay themselves.

' we cordially invite you to the wedding of
Jay Halstead and Erin Lindsay.

Love recognises no barriers. It jumps hurdles. Leaps fences. Penetrates walls to arrive at its destination.. full of hope'

He could not take his eyes off off this, he knew this day would come but for him this was just too soon, when she was younger she had no hopes and dreams for the future, but here she is now.. an amazing and brilliant detective who was about to get married to a man Voight did not like at the start. He didn't like anyone who was going out with his daughter, he thought he scared them all away, scared halstead away. But that man stood infront of him not scared of what he would do or so, he saw the love in his eyes for Erin because that's the love he had for Camille, still does.

A knock on the door interrupted his door, he looked up to see his long time friends.. Trudy and Alvin. They held up a bottle of whiskey and some glasses " we knew you needed this today" they both eneyered the office and took a seat. Trudy pored the glasses for the men in the room, and passed it to them.

" it's happening, it's actually real" Hank expressed, he drank his drink and leaned back on his chair.

" it is Hank.. and we couldn't be more proud of her" Trudy smiled as she looked at them, Alvin nodded at her statement " she really is doing well for herself you know" Alvin added on.

" she's going through such a rough time.. but you also forget WHOOSE daughter she is.. you brought her up.. god I don't even want to think about what's going to happen when Lexi gets married.. it's already this bad with Erin" Alvin spoke, Hank looked at him and smiled.

" you don't ever want to have this feeling Al, it's a good feeling and a bad feeling"

" Camille is probably jumping up and down in excitement right now, I can just imagine her getting all excited about the wedding, faffing about, making sure things are all set the way they are" they all laughed at her as she said what was true.

" you done a good job with them kids Hank."

" no it was all them" he whispered into his glass.

The boys of the unit had planned on going to mollies, Ruzek had insisted for a party but then Antonio the smart one said to just to mollies and get wasted if they wanted to in which they all said yeah to. Except from Ruzek who had a childish fit but somehow Jay spoke to him and he agreed to come. They all entered mollies and everyone turned around in the bar to look.

" there's the man of the hour" will walked towards them, screaming it. He gave the rest of the boys a manly hug.. and the rest of the bar spoke " congratulations Jay!" He felt so overwhelmed right now, oh god. He could not wait for tomorrow, they managed to get a booth and Hermann as a curtosy brought their drinks, just this time.
