Chapter 13: The secrets out.

Hey! Sorry guys I've been AWOL but here's another chapter hope you guys enjoy this one!

After Erin and Hank had reached home, she was worried about jay. She rang him a couple of times and she even asked will to check if he had gone home. She still hadn't heard from Will yet. She sat in the living room with the tv turned on and voight with her and her phone started ringing. It was Will.

' hey will is he home?' She asked. Hoping he was.

' no Erin he's not here, I checked mollys on my way and he wasn't there either' she closed her eyes and sighed.

' thank you will, keep your ear out he's bound to come sooner or later' she cut the phone of and looked at Hank and shaked her head. She kept nagging her brain of where he was and now she realised where he was.

' Hank I think I know where he is, I need your car keys' he took out his car keys and handed it to her.

' wear your coat and your scarf with your big boots and drive safe' Hank spoke still the loving and caring father she knows. She thanked him and kissed him on the cheek and left.

Once she had reached to the destination, she saw his car and she saw him. The place that he was at was near the beach. He had told her that this was the place that he comes to when he needed time alone, he even brought her here as their first date.. well at the end of the date. She saw him from the back and saw he was trembling and his back was hunched to. She walked towards him and sat on the bench staring out in the water. They sat there in silence, she slowly grabbed his hand and he squeezed it back.

She took a deep breath and spoke ' I am sorry for you to be finding out the way you had to  but I am not sorry for not telling you... because I needed to do this without you. I needed you to be someone without me, I needed me to be someone without you' she looked at him and he didn't say anything.

' god dammit jay say something please' and when she said that her voice cracked. As tears were pooling out of her red rimmed eyes.

' I came here because I needed to relive our first date. I needed to remember a time where we were both happy a time we were both not broken as much as we are now.. a time where... you didn't have...' he couldn't it he really couldn't but how could you even say it?

' I don't get who you all think you are. You and will. Trying to do something to make me happy when I should be doing it for my own sake. You guys can't decide where my happiness lies in' he said in anger. Erin stayed quiet because he needed to take his rage out.

' I just can't believe you didn't tell me, I get it but er we were in love... we are still in love' he turned his head around.

' I love you er and I always will. I am going to be by your side for this... I always will. I will never leave you. I know in your thoughts that I'm going to leave you cause of ... but I'm not' he clasped his hand around hers.

' I. Love you too Jay' she hugged him tightly not wanting to let him go. He dug his head into his shoulder keeping his tears in bay covering his mouth so she wouldn't hear.
They were there for a while before jay came out of the hug.

' so what's happening now?' He asked nervously.

' I am officially being admitted to the hospital for my chemo, just the day after tomorrow, which will hopefully help' she spoke.

' I'm going to be there for you no matter what er. I'm not going to leave you, you know that right?' She nodded knowing that it was true but she didn't want that. But on the other hand she needed this.

' come on let's go, I promised everyone I'll join them for last time sakes' she chuckled holding his hand whilst he jusst gave a sad smile and held her hand tightly. They both drove sepereatly since they bought their own cars.

Once they reached she got out of her car and all jay could think about was how beautiful she looked it didn't matter what she had it really didn't. He got out of his car and just stared at her whilst she was getting her phone and all of a sudden he saw her slam against the car a bit and she looked sick. He ran over to her and grabbed her.

' er , you okay?' He asked, she looked at him and smiled. Why was she smiling when she could literally have fallen over and hurt herself?

' I'm fine you dork , one of the side effects and I may have forgotten to have my tablets' she said in a kid voice. He looked at her with a stern look and asked where they were, he grabbed the medicines from the car and the water bottle, she sat down in the car driver seat whilst he stood infront of her.

' here' he gave her the tablets and water.
Once she swallowed it he felt a bit better she told him she was fine now. So he grabbed her hand tightly so he would know she was there. When they entered mollys they saw the gang calling them over.

' water for you linds since youu know you can't have it' Dawson said as he handed her water. Dawson looked down and saw the hands along with everyone else, with their eyes they decided they will grill them later not now. But then he saw the look on jay Halsteads face there was a glow a mix with sadness, broken and lost. he was going to speak to him to.

' let's raise our glasses, we are toasting this to our friend, sister, colleague. We are all going to be here for you erin no matter what! I'm still your brother and your still my sister. We are family and this is what family does we have each other's back and we all will have your back. Thank you for telling us.... But don't worry erin lindsey you will just fine' they raised their glasses and she smiled and gave a hug to Antonio.

Halstead looked around, he watched as she laughed and spoke to everyone in the group. He looked back and saw voight standing in the corner nursing his drink. He raised his glass and so did voight. Voight gave him a nod and went back to sit with Al.

' I'm glad she's happy' Al said as he and voight looked at the woman they both had a hand in raising. They saw her tilt her head back laughing at something.

' yeah I'm happy she told everyone, she needed this.... All anyone need is a little push, a little push that can change eveuething in life and this was it. She just needed that' he said with a proud look in his eyes, he was scared and nervous about what the future was going to bring regards to her but right now he didn't care, he watched her most of the night laughing and smiling and that meant she was happy. He needed that for his daughter.
