It was the next day, when jay had woken up, He had felt something weighing on his arm and it was Erins head. She was here, he moved the hair that was hanging from her face and smiled. It had been a long time since she was in his arms , they were finally reunited and his heart was whole again. This feeling of having her in her arms made him a whole man, WHOOSE heart was now attached together with no missing pieces as and was the missing piece that had left and no one was able to replace her.

He quietly moved her head from his arm so he can make her breakfast and go to the toilet. When he moved her he swore he would have heard her, but she was in a deep sleep the surgery really had a toll on her.  After he had freshened up he headed into the kitchen, and started making her breakfast. Whilst he was making her breakfast his phone rang and the caller was Hank Voight.

' Hey Serge, what's going on?' Nay asked, as he was moving around the kitchen getting the food ready.

' just wanted to ask if Erin is okay' jay coild genuinely hear the concern from his voice, this was the voice of a father worried for his daughter.

' she's doing fine, we came home last night and she fell asleep immediately and she's still sleeping... the surgery sure did do a number on her'

' did she have her medicine?' Voight asked, he knew he was being overprotective but he had to be.

' yeah she had one before she fell asleep and when she wakes up I'll give her one'

' yeah.. Keep me updated jay, take care of my little girl'

'Always serge' and the phone had hung up, he was so into his breakfast he didn't realise a figure walking towards him.

' are you mkakung breakfast jay halstead?' He startled and turned around.

' I'm a cop you shouldn't be scaring me like that... and why are you up from your bed you should have called him I could have helped you'  he went around the kitchen and held her hand and guided her to the couch.

' I smelt the food so I thought I shouldn't disturb you' she smiled at him. He kissed her on the forehead and walked away.

' you better be making me some good breakfast house husband... because I am actually hungry for once' he laughed from the kitchen

' for once? Are you kidding me your always hungry' he exclaimed.

' that's true, but since this cancer I haven't felt like eating anything and neither do I feel that hungry anymore' she spoke, and she heard silence and she knew that this was still a shaky area for him, he couldn't hear to hear the word ' csncer'

After a moment jay spoke
' well I'm about to change that aren't I?'

A couple of minutes later jay had brought into the table some pancakes with her butter and maypole syrup and some orange juice which he heard from will is good for her health.

' orange juice really? You know I don't drink that'

' well the doctor said you have to have this, it's good for your health'

' the doctor or the redhead'

' uh...'

' yeah that's what I thought so' she laughed.

' it's a good thing my brother is a doctor this means I can nag him about anything I want to. So he did say orange juice is good for you so that's what your going to have' jay kissed her forehead and they began to eat their breakfast.

' I'm done' Erin said after a while, jay looked at her plate and she only ate half.

' Er you have a few more bites to go come on'
