The next day, it was the funeral of Hank Voight. Erin had only told a handful of people, the intelligence unit and a handful of Chicago med, people she knew and trusted. They had a small gathering in the church, they had buried him in the warm weather. They all came up to her one by one giving her condolences for what  she was going through, it was time for Erin to speak. She stood up with the help of her fiancee " Hank voight was the one man in my life that I had trusted, he took me in when I was 15 years old, he took care of me when my own family couldn't" Erin looked in the crowd and saw a certain man stood there that she didn't recognise " I will always be grateful for what he has done for me, I love you Hank, I always will" she kept it short and simple, she stepped down from the stage and the figure that was there walked towards her " I am so sorry to hear about your loss, you don't know me but I am a friend of your father, you know David.. he passed his condolences and he has requested if you could come see him" the man flashed a devious smile as he left, Jay came and rubbed her shoulders " that was David's friend, he wants to meet me" she looked up at those blue eyes and he nodded his head.

Lindsay entered statesville prison and went through the metal detectors " hi Lindsay, you okay.. it's been a while" one of the guards had recognised her, " it has, its a good thing though right that I don't have to keep coming back to meet outrageous people" he nodded his head as he understood what she was saying, he handed her her phone and wallet, and she bid him goodbye.

She entered the visiting room and she sat down one of the tables. Her fingers playing against the hard shell table that was representing her heart beat at this moment. Once the door opened infront of she saw the man, David Lindsay. He walked towards her, with every step she could hear the clanking of the handcuffs, the movement of her fingers stopped. The officer nodded his head at her and david sat dowjbinfornybof her.

" so what do you want? You send your little informant to send me a message or you weren't man enough to call me yourself"   she questioned, as she looked at him dead in the eyes. He moved his hands to put it on top of hers but she quickly pulled back.

" I heard about Hank, and I wanted to give my condolences, he was a good man when it came to you, he raised you into a fine women.. but I'm sorry for your loss" Erin could see the smirk creeping up on his face.

" your not really sorry about Hank, your happy from the inside, this is what you wanted isn't it?" She asked in her low husky, reserved for criminals like him " you wanted Hank out of the way so you could get to me.. so just admit it! " she exclaimed, but he didn't say anything.

" you took the only father away from me" she knew saying things like this would rile him up, and he would admit he did this " you took the one man from my life who treated me like his daughter, fed me, payed for school, made me a cop" Erin could tell she would getting through to him as she could see the ripple effect creating in his jaw line, she knew she was getting through to him.

" I have no intention to kill him., I didn't do anything, it's all in your head Erin " that's the only words he said.

" he was a better father than you ever were, your a lowlife criminal and you always will be, you can never bee a good person because you see there's this darkness within you that will never leave you till the end of the time. That darkness will always be a part of you, you being a criminal is all of you. You're not a father, neither a husband from what I can tell,  you always will be-"

" YES! I killed Hank Voight! I did what I had to do to get my daughter back, without him you would have never come to see me or talk to me" he shouted, she got what she needed, she gave him a smile, Erin then pointed to the guards to take him away " have a good time in jail for murdering a cop.. it was nice to see you... David" now that smirk was plastered on her face. The guard dragged him away roughly not before saying what he had to say " you will always be my daughter remember that, Erin"

She turned around and walked away, she shivered as she heard what he had said. She was never his daughter, never in a million years, she was Hank voight and Camille voights daughter.

Jay and the rest of the gang were waiting at the district waiting for Erin to come back. His knees were bouncing up and down in fear, he wanted to make sure that she was okay. He said to her he would go with her, but if anyone knew Erin Lindsay they would know how stubborn she is. And she insisted that she would be okay. Mouse who was leaning against jays desk saw how his best friend was worried " she'll be okay Jay... you have seen her yourself with criminals she has never met them get to her, she had interrogated her own mother, what makes you think he is any different?" He whispered.

" cause he's her biological father, cause he can twist some next level mind games on her.. and I'm not there to protect her" he looked at mouse and told him.

Halstead walked into the breakroom to make him self some coffee anxious about Erin, he insisted that he would go along with her but she is Erin Lindsay, no one could change her mind once she made it, a voice shattered his thoughts" I got him" that was his fiancés voice, he left his coffee running and strided towards her. HE checked her body to make sure she wasn't hurt, Erin put her hand on his chest" I'm fine Jay, he never got to me and he never will" she reassured him, he gave her a tight hug. Not wanting to let go.

" told you man, Erin's a strong force.." mouse spoke with a smile on his face.

" yes I am strong but if big man jay doesn't let go I might end up breaking" the unit laughed at her response. He let go off her and smiled.

" you got what you need Erin" her best friend asked from her desk, she got her phone and played it for everyone.

A man cleared his throat from behind startling the intelligence family, they all looked behind not saying anything, no one moved, or did anything..
