Chapter 28

Jay and Erin laid in bed the night of their engagement, happiness bursting in both of their chests. Jay had his arms around Erin as Erin admired the ring around her left finger.

" that was my mums ring you know" he spoke, she looked at him " she said to me and will, whoever found their ' one' first could take the ring"

" and I'm very grateful that you found me first, because I absolutely adore this ring" she gave him a quick kiss on the lips and he grinned.

" my mom would have loved you, your the only one that could match me and put me in line and she would have loved that" he smiled as he remembered his mom " tell me more about her" Erin questioned, pushing him slightly to open up.

" she was caring, a good mother, very funny.. whenever me and will would get in trouble, we would tell dad to not tell mom or she would be mad at us, he would by purposely send us to her. But when we did go to her, she always said what did you two boys do now?.. because we were always fighting or getting in trouble no matter what was happening" he laughed as he remebeeded that memory " she sounds like a fun and a good mother Jay" she slid her head down so her head was on his chest.

He placed his hand on her back " yeah she was" he whispered.

" I think I would have been good friends with your mother, always chatting about the weird habits of yours.. telling her whenever you annoyed me so you would get in trouble"

" excuse me, what are my weird habits?" she laughed as she twirled her ring.

" you want me to start" he nodded his head " okay, for example, I by accident leave my cup on the table, you always bring a coaster and shout at me, or whenever I leave my clothes on the side after a long day and you insist that I put them in the cupboard neatly or put them in the wash... I mean those are a few things"

Jay shaked his head " now what's the matter with me being clean?"

" nothing.. it's just too much isn't good either" they both laughed at her remark.

After a moment of silence, Erin spoke " I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together"

" I can't wait either" she leaned up and give him a kiss in which he had deepened the kiss.

The next morning, Jay groaned as he looked at the time and it was 7 in the morning, he had to be at the district for 9. He wanted to spend the day with Erin, because if he didn't fill in the paperwork from the other day, the commander would have his head on a plate. He turned to his side with his closed and put his hand in the bed to feel if Erin was there. When he didn't feel her, he opened his blue eyes and was confused. He sat up on his bed and smelt something amazing. He got out of his bed and saw that Erin Lindsay was cooking breakfast. Since when did that happen?

" since when do you cook?" He questioned as he walked over to her rubbing his eyes. Erin looked up to see her fisnce walking towards her, with his hair curly, because of the rain last night and with his body which outlined the abs he had gotten in the past 2 years.

" now that's a sight I like to see" she smirked. He walked behind her and placed his hands around her stomach, leaning down with his chin on her shoulder " you already saw enough last night.. didn't you. Or don't you remember you call me god" she giggled as she remembered last night.

" so answer my question.. when did you cook? And why didn't you wake me up? Yesterday already exhausted you out.. you need..'' he was cut off when Erin turned around and put her finger on his lips.

" first of all, I leaned to cook in New York. I didn't have a house husband there so I only know how to make French toast. Second, you created a wonderful and magical night for me yesterday, I thought it was a good idea for you to get some rest" she spoke with the twinkle in her eyes, he smiled underneath her finger " third, you have been taking such good care of me since you found out about my condition so I thought I should do something in return"
