i kept my arms around her
i knew all i did now and will do is a mistake
but right now this feels right
i can't let her keep suffering just because i was stupid
we were sitting her for a while without saying anything
it was quiet

"should we go back?" she breaks the silence

"yeah i guess" i got up while still holding her

"i'm sure I can walk on my own," she said in a sarcastic voice.

"oh-" i immediately let go of her and put my hands in my pocktes

"soo how are you feeling?" i ask her

"okay" is the only thing she says

"i'm sorry alright?"

"i know you already said that"

"woah whats that attitude"

"shut up" she said as we entered the cabin again.

"or what?"

"or else I'm going to beat your ass" I heard a little giggle coming from her

"oh yeah?" she nodded to me as she winks at me

"sooo we can go to sleep now?" she nodded to me again.

"you can sleep on the mattress i sleep there" i pointed with my chin to the floor next to the fireplace

"sleep next to me"

"huh? why"

"please?" she looked at me with wide eyes.

"do i have to?"

"yes" I rolled my eyes as i sigh
she was lying on one side of the mattress
so I did the same, i took off my jacket and shirt
i saw her staring at me from my eyes to chest again and again.

"goodnight?" she came to her senses and shook her head briefly.

"night" she said curtly and immediately turned around without looking at me again.

i couldn't sleep so I decided to get my journal out of my bag I sat up and leaned against the wall, when I opened it I looked over to Valerie as she breathed calmly and evenly
she looked beautiful
i still don't know why i think like that about her
for whatever reason I started drawing her

it passed about half an hour until she suddenly turned around and lay closer to me
I flinched briefly

"ellie?.." she murmurs in a raspy voice

"i didn't mean to wake you up, shh"

"well but now I am" it looked like she noticed that she had snuggled up to me

"sorry I must have bothered you"

"its okay i wasn't sleeping anyways" She looked up at my book and immediately sat up

"ouh what are you drawing?" she tried to look in my journal but I closed it

"not for your eyes"

"oh come on show me" she tried to grab it

"if you don't let go , i won't show you anything" she let go
and started sulking

"stop looking at me like a puppy" i showed her the drawing of her

"oh- thats me?" she said in an astonished voice.

"mhm"

"i- that's beautiful.." as i look into her eyes a i see a certain beautiful spark

"you've seen enough" i closed it again and put it next to me with a small smile that formed

"ellie?"

"yeah?"

"what if dina finds out"

"for the next few days she won't"

"but when the time comes, what then?"

"i don't know" i felt everything tighten inside me as i said thag

"but-"

"no. i don't want to talk about it, why did you have to bring it up right now?" I said annoyed

"i'm sorry"

"whatever, its never gonna work between us" she looked like i had broken something

"come on don't act like I mean anything to you" i said even though I hurt myself with it

"maybe but you don't know anything about me"

"neither do you" i said indignantly.

"well i want to get to know you, even if it doesn't end well"

"exactly valerie it won't end well, i don't even know why you even try to keep something between us that is not there" I said when I got up and grabbed my shirt and put it back on

"fuck you" she also got up

"ohh if i could i would fuck 𝑦𝑜𝑢 to death"

"so i would be good for the sex part but for nothing else?"

"what? I fucking hate this, no matter what we do, it ends like this, so why do you want to try so badly? " I looked at her perplexed.

"because I-" suddenly the door slammed open and a gun was pointed at us.

"fuck- not again" abby were standing infront of us

"well hello again it didn't had to come this far but you know the reason ellie" she said

"let's finally finish this its getting on my nerves" i pulled my gun and pointed at her
she wanted to shoot but seems like it didn't work

"no bullets? well bad for you" as i was about shoot as she jumped on me and starts hitting me

"i'm gonna fuck you up huh? " i tried to kick her away but no chance
she put her hands around my neck and began to choke me more and more
i saw Valerie trying to pull her away
that was the last thing I saw
i heard a shot
until everything was completely dark
