blood rushed into my cheeks as she say that and i felt how my heart started pounding really fast

"soo do you wanna be my date for tonight?"

"of course i want to" immediately a smile formed on her face

"another question"

"mhm?"

"can i kiss you" i nod and in that moment she presses her lips against mine ehat an amazing feeling

"is that forever?" i ask

"if you want it to be forever?"

"i actually want that yes, and i never would've thought i would say something like that" i got a little nervous

"you sure?"

"yes." in the next secound i jumped on her and wrapped my arms around her neck
i giggle i never felt that way
i never felt so comfortable around someone
suddenly she started tickling me and i laughed as much as I haven't for a long time.

"st- stop.." i say while i'm laughing

"alright but only if you give me a kiss" I gave her a kiss on the nose

"hot there" so I gave her another kiss on the cheek "still not the right spot" finally I gave a kiss on the lips

"so enough?"

"I can never get enough of you," she said.

"I still can't believe you're my first date"

"did you imagine someone else as your firsr date? "

"no, I didn't really imagine anything I was never really interested in such things, when my parents were bitten and I came to the scars, I could only think about survival because there was no room for love, I didn't even feel loved"

"oh val.. hear me out, now I'm here and won't let you go, I'll try to give you what you need"

"but I don't want that"

"I'll do it anyway"

"whatever I'm hungry" I said and stood up

"then we can go out to eat? but just to warn you, dina won't be thrilled to see us together"

"oh fuck right"

"and also not tonight" I didn't understand what she was trying to tell me

"what do you mean?"

"well there where I'm taking you is where everybody is going to dance, down in the community hall and that means there also gonna be dina" I felt my stomach tighten

"oh.."

"i'm sorry i should've told you this"

"no thats okay i guess you ask me out and i said yes so"

"but you still can say no"

"i don't want to ellie i wanna go there with 𝒚𝒐𝒖" she smiled at me again

"I can also get us something to eat and we just stay here until tonight" i nodded so she got up and got ready to get us something to eat when she left I went downstairs and took a closer look around the house , I was in the kitchen and saw some old pictures that must have been taken before the apocalypse,
when i were back in the living room I thought about turning on the fireplace so I put the wood ready and now I just had to find a lighter I searched several drawers when I arrived at one and it did not open so I pulled on it again and again until it suddenly opened and I fell backwards

"goddamit" my hand hurt because on impact all my weight rests on it
i tried to move it but a pain ran through me
in the end, I couldn't find a lighter so I sat down on the sofa and waited for Ellie
a few minutes passed and I heard a knock
I ran to the door

"finally i can't wait to- dina?"

"you expected ellie right?"

"uh yeah so what are you doing here?"

"i wanted to talk to her but i guess she is not here" the next moment, ellie appeared behind dina.

"can we talk?" said dina as she turned to ellie

"no" she pushed her away from the entrance of the door and stepped in next to me dina watched speechlessly as ellie slammed the door in front of her

"soo val i have something to eat" she gave me the food and I couldn't wait to finally get something to eat so we sit down together on the sofa and enjoy each other

Later that evening, ellie and i were on their way to community hall
when we were inside, some were already dancing and it gave me a great feeling to see so many people who just look happy.

"can I give you something to drink?" ellie looked at me with a grin and i nod while waiting at a counter until she came back with a glass of whiskey

"here"

"thank you" I drank it in one sip

"woah we have time val" after a while jesse came to me and asked me if I wanted to dance and i was looking at ellie but she just nodded and gave me a sign that I can go and dance

i was in the middle of the dance floor everyone else around me so i just let myself glide with them
i was feeling great I hadn't done something like that for in a long time
soon i look over at ellie and saw dina suddenly standing next to her and saying something, a feeling came over me but before I could think about it any further jesse turned me to him so that i had to look at him in the eyes
