I was just about to turn around to take Valerie back in my arms, but my arms landed on the empty mattress , so I opened my eyes and saw that no one was lying next to me, I was alone
I dressed as fast as I could, I took my handgun and rifle with me as a precaution
I got out of the tent and looked around, no one was to be seen, so I first went to the truck and looked around
nobody.
I had an weird feeling, I thought it had something to do with deliah and val when I saw my backpack lying open at the fireplace, next to it there were even traces of blood

"fuck.." I had to take a deep breath so that I couldn't imagine any bad theories
I looked up at the windows of the hospital and saw a flickering light, I hoped Valerie would be there, I immediately ran through all the corridors and opened all the doors until I arrived at one where I heard a voice

"should i reopen this beautiful scar" is what I heard deliah saying, I knew what she meant then it suddenly crashed as if glass had shattered
i tried to kick in the door, about the third time it opend and I was standing in the middle of the room when I saw Valerie hanging on the window frame that threatened to break off
I ran over and pulled her back into the room with all my strength
I looked at her up and down, she was bleeding again

"el behi-" I turned around and at the same moment i pushed valerie sightly to the side
when Deliah came running towards me with the scalpel that she had probably already used on valerie
I thought she was going to stab me, but when she stopped in front of me, she dropped the scalpel and fell into my arms

"she- she attacked me I was just trying to fight back," she showed me her cut on her arm
So I looked over at Val

"shes lying i didn't do anything, she did it to herself" I knew that Valerie wouldn't do something like that and I believe that from the tone of her voice
Deliah began to turn my head towards her with her hand, and when I looked at her, tears were already running down her cheeks

"Do you really think I could do something like that to myself, I admit, I looked through your stuff and found out what you wrote about her, I think she wasn't herself when she did that to me, so she probably can't really remember" Deliah's croak, but she let go of me
she went towards val

"fucking go you psychotic bitch" Valerie said and stood up

"I forgive you Valerie, i'm sure it was just a phase right?"
I didn't know what to do, so i grabbed Valerie by the wirst and took her outside, we didn't say a word to each other, we heard Deliah shouting after us to wait, but I didn't want to wait, I wanted to fix val's wound again
I sat down next to my backpack and took out the bandage

"you are lucky i don't need to stich it this time" I looked at her when I was done bandaging her wrist again

"you need to believe, i wasn't in any phase please" her eyes went teary

"i believe you val don't worry" I said in a soft voice, although I wasn't sure what to think about the whole situation

"but that doesn't sound convincing" I sighed and took her in my arms

"everything is alright" I said when Deliah came to us

"here you are, you can't just leave without saying anything el" She looked down at me and Valerie

"don't call me that deliah"

"so you are mad at me just for telling the truth??"

"i don't know actually, we know you a day so why should i believe you if i just met you?" a suspicious look formed on my face

"because- because.." She stuttered

"because what?"

"because i'm fucking telling the truth god" She groaned and walked over to her truck, she gave me one last look and slammed the car door shut

"i'm tired and everything hurts el"

"i know...i knoww" I whispered, I got up and lifted her up as I took her back in my arms and carried her into the tent where
i put her on the mattress

"i love you" she said with a faint smile

"i love you, and now rest" I kissed her goodbye and was about to leave the tent

"promise me you'll come back"

"i promise" after that, I went to talk to Deliah, she was still sitting in the same place as before, so I walked around the truck and sat down in the passenger seat

"what are you doing here?"

"well since you let us stay here i guess i can go wherever i want?"

"whatever" she replied absent-mindedly

"tell me the truth or i'm gonna cut your goddamn throat" I still didn't look at her, just started into the forest that could be seen in front of us behind the hospital

"i already told you the truth"

"and that was an another lie" I said as I started to get impatient

"she is a psycho not me"

"what did you say? psycho?"

"i- well no.. " she was still trying to keep her façade up
I slowly turned to her

"honestly, I don't even want to kill you as pathetic as you are deliah"

"pathetic? you call me pathetic? you are all i ever wanted i waited for you so long el you don't know"

"wha- and i don't wanna know because you are crazy as hell"

"then tell me why you hesitated in the hospital?"
