"what the fuck happend" she said as i fell into her arms

"scars- the scars they are here.." i said completely out of breath

"come in first, and let's sit down"

"no you don't understand, they are here we.. we have to leave now" she hugged me tightly and kissed me on the head.

"no.. we have to leave" i boxed against her chest
she lifted my head so that I looked into her eyes

"I said, come in first and we'll sit down" I did what she said and sat down with her "so now explain whats going on"

"i was just on my way back to you when I heard voices that seemed familiar to me so i started running but
ran completely in the wrong direction when I noticed that the voices came closer and closer and then I saw them" I looked over the window and there I saw someone standing "there- there's someone" i looked at ellie but only gave me a wounded look

"okay.. you know i believe you but there is literally nobody"

"but there is someone right there" I pointed my finger at the window but actually there was no one

"you drank too much val"

"no i didn't i.."

"its alright, if something happens i'm here" she took me in her arms again but this time I let my head fall on her lap, she stroked my head tenderly then along my back.

"i think something is wrong with me" i said while my eyes filled with tears

"well i don't think that" she now whispered pleasantly

"what if they really weren't there and i'm just not normal"

"you are normal val"

"i am i hear voices so do you really think i am not in any way crazy?" I turned now on her lap so that I lay on my back and no longer on my side

"since when you hear those voices?" she looked down at me

"since i was a kid, i never know if they are real or not"

"and how often?"

"i don't know sometimes? its the same thing like i see things but they aren't really there i don't know what that is but its making me go fucking crazy" i sat up and raised my voice, while she seems speechless

"oh val.."

"yeah oh exactly but who cares" I got up and walked towards the stairs

"val, you can't just always run away from problems" I stopped and turned to her

"i absolutely can ellie" in that moment i ran up the stairs and locked myself in the bathroom again i knew it wasn't a good idea
i heard footsteps like the last time, of course it was ellie
she knocked again

"valerie.. don't run away from your problems and don't run away from me" i didn't answer she kept knocking for a few times
then silence
a few seconds later i heard her probably sit down against the other side of the door.

"please come out.."

"go away" is the only thing i said i won't open up myself to anyone anymore

"i'm gonna sit here 'til you unlock the door"

"i'm sorry for running away" nothing but silence

"listen, i'm here if you feel ready unlock the door if not i' m gonna break that mother fucker open" she said after a while

"mhm" I didn't say anything the same way she did
the voices became louder as if they were coming directly towards me
i don't wanna hear them anymore
so I got up and looked for sharp objects in different drawers
of course I didn't find anything
I looked over to the shower

"whats going on in there" ellie sounded worried but i didn't answer
i saw the old curtain rod and tried to tear it off it takes a while but then finally it fell into my hand
I went over to the window and hit the rod against the glass it didn't work the first time but after a few tries the window collapsed

"fuck valerie what are you doing in there" she asks again
i ignored her as I took a glass splinter and slowly sat down on the floor and put on my pulse artery
not even now the voices stopped
i put pressure on my arm, and then it happend
the first cut
the blood immediately ran down my arm
i realized what I did
i fwlt how i started panicken
i started breathing faster and pressed my hand on the wound but it didn't stop bleeding

"ellie..?" i tried to raise my voice

"yeah?"

"i think i need help"

"then open the door"

"i can't.." everything went blurry and i felt dizzy

"what do you mean by you can't?? i told you i break that fucking door"
i couldn't bring myself to answer anymore
i heard ellie shake the door and then she kicked it in
she looked around and looked speechless.
sow she were looking at me, then her gaze wandered to my arm
where a lot of blood has already met the ground

"val... what did you do" she sounded hurt
meanwhile I had to pull myself together so i wouldn't faint
