the sun was shining right in my face when i woke up
i saw how valerie had already sat up and was looking through my bag

"what you doing?"

"eh.. just looking for something to eat?" but I saw but she was already holding my journal in her hand.

"mhm sure" i grabbed my bag away from her, took out the food and then gave it to her.

"thank you" I couldn't interpret her gaze

"hurry we have to go"

"mhm i know, i guess my mother is already on her way here" she got up and went to the door "so then lets go" she held her hand out the door and showed me to go first, so I did
i helped valerie to get on shimmer and then i sat infront of her again

"I have to admit I imagined your parents worse"

mMy mother likes to play between life and death you know?"

"hmm I understand but what about your father?"

"i don't wanna talk about him" her mood changed abruptly as these words left her mouth.

"are you gonna talk about him someday?"

"maybe? If you can wait?"

"I can wait well" and that was a lie, I can't wait well, at all
the next 2 hours we hadn't talked

"my back hurts" she said and I stopped.

"then walk around here a bit until it doesn't hurt anymore, i will wait here, and take this or scream for help if you need me" I gave her a loaded pistol and she jumped off the horse
i watch as she walked a few meters further into the forest
maybe I should follow her so I got off and ran after her with shimmer at my side.
So I saw her, she looked like she was holding something in her hand a kind of book ?

"val?" I shouted and she turned around while she dropped the book
my journal. "what are you doing with my journal?" she must have taken it out when a while ago how could i be that stupid and didn't notice?

"I just wanted to see what going on inside here and well I found interesting things" she said, her voice breaking.

"no one allowed you to break my privacy"

"i am crazy right?" she said as she picked up the book and flipped to the page where I had written something about her, because of the incident that night.

"you are not, val calm down"

"then why is it written here hm?" she came up to me and pressed the book against my chest

"i'm sorry okay?"

"of course you are sorry but that doesn't change a thing el"

"i know"

"so what now just forget everything and go on? i don't think so, you can keep traveling but that without me, i'll go back"

"i know it was fucking stupid, but like I told you you're not going anywhere" i grab her arm and dragged her behind me and told her to get on shimmer.

"that hurts by the way" I noticed that I still had her arm firmly in my hand and let go
she didn't said a single word while we continued riding

"come on, the silence annoys me" she said nothing "I am sorry" I said afterwards

"it feels like we won't work out so what do you think about that?" she asked me
my eyes went blurry for a moment and my heart beats fast

"i said i wanna try and we can't give up that fast" i finally managed to answer her question

"mhm right but still we are already almost fighting again"

"thats normal i guess and we gonna fix this."

"sorry for looking through your stuff"

"its alright, now i don't have to hide anything anymore" after a few minutes of silence, she started talking again

"I think it's funny how I threw half-dead abby into the river" she lets out a laughter

"wait what do you mean by half dead?" i gave shimmer a signal to stop and turned around as best I could to

"i don't know if she's dead, yes i shot her and she was unconscious but i didn't check if she really was you know.."

"you didn't check? thats the most important thing you should do especially if its abby"

"yeah but maybe she drowned and thats it"

"yeah but maybe she is waiting somewhere to kill us goddammit, thats why i wanted to kill her because such a mistake would not have happened"
i turned back and pushed shimmer and continued to think about the thing with abby and I groaned to myself thinking about the things that could happen if abby gets in our way.
this shit can't get any more worse
please god just let abby be dead
