Chapter 8: Nico again

We eventually went back to the infirmary. I sat down in the bed and he sat down next to me.

"I'm bored," I said after 5 minutes.

"Do you want to play a game?" Will asked.

"Sure. What do you want to play?"
"Truth or mild dare."

"Why mild dare."

"I don't want to do anything too crazy."
"Okay. Will, truth or mild dare?"

"Mild dare."

"I dare you to do a backflip over the bed."

He stood up, and I got off the bed. He attempted to do a backflip, but he fell off the bed. I laughed.

"Okay, Nico, Truth or mild dare."

"Dare."

"I dare you to hold my hand in public later."

"Easy."

I let out a yawn.

"Oh, you're tired. I'll let you rest," Will told me.

"No, I'm fine-" I started to say, but then passed out.

I had a good dream. Will kissed me again. We went on a date.

Then I woke up.

Will was holding my hand. I was laying in the infirmary.

"Will?" I asked. "How long was I out?"

"Only 2 hours."

Chiron walked into the room. "NIco, you're awake. I have a quest for you two."

"What has happened?" Will asked.

"Apollo has sent pictures of Hades in his underwear singing. Hades is threatening to send Apollo to the fields of punishments, but there will be no one to drive the sun chariot."

"So, what does this have to do with us?" I asked.

"I need Will to apologize to Hades for Apollo. But NIco, you know how to get to him."

"Sure. When do we leave?" Will asked.

"As soon as possible."

Will ran to a cabinet to load a backpack with ambrosia and herbs.

"Ready," He said.

I took his hand and shadow-traveled him to the entrance of the underworld.

"Nico, I said no more underwourldy stuff," Will told me. "You owe me two more days in the infirmary."

We walked for what seemed like forever. Then, we got to Hades' throne.

"Father," I called. "I need to speak with you."

Hades stepped out of the shadows. "Is that Apollo?" He asked, with his hand raised to send Will to the fields of punishments.

"No, this is Will Solace, son of Apollo."

"Then I'm going to kill him. That will teach Apollo."

"Please don't," I said.

"Tell me one good reason I shouldn't kill him."

"He's my boyfriend, and if you kill him, I'll be heartbroken."

I smiled at my fathers surprised face.

"And he has something to say," I added.

"Um- yeah," Will started. "Apollo apologizes for what he did. He knows it was not right to do that.

"That's something new. Do you guys want to stay for dinner?" Hades asked.

"Will, do you want to?" I asked.

"Yeah, I would love to."

"Go get changed in Nico's room. You two are filthy," Hades said.

We walked over to a small room in the back.

"This is where you stayed for a whole month?" Will asked.

"Yep."

I tossed him some clothing. The most colorful things I had. Blue jeans and a blue shirt. They were too big for me, and just about the right size for Will.

He headed to the bathroom to get changed. I pulled out my clothes and waited.

Once he finally came out of the bathroom, I went in. I got changed and then went out.

"You look handsome," Will said to me.

"So the clothes do fit you. I was worried they didn't."

"Where did you get clothes so colorful?"

"The Stolls played a prank on me."
"Ahh. Ready to meet your father?"

"He's probably going to ask you questions, since I told him you're my boyfriend. Answer honestly, or he might kill you. I would freak out and have to sumon you from the dead."

"I thought you weren't allowed to do that."

"Now that I'm more powerful, I could do it, but it might kill me."

"So, do not do it."

I went up to him and kissed him. "Good luck. Try not to get yourself killed."

We walked out to meet Persephone and Hades. "Hi," Persephone said.

"Hello," I told her.

"Sit," My father told us.

We sat.

"So," My father stated. "Nico, why do you like this son of Apollo?"
I smiled at Will. "He has saved my life many times. He has always been kind to me. And he does good under pressure."

Will smiled back at me.

"Son of Apollo, can I ask you a few questions?" Hades asked.

"Sure."

"Do you really like Nico? Because if you're faking, tell me right now and I won't give you that bad of a punishment in the fields of punishments."

"I really like him. I would never be faking. Nico has been through too much. I don't want to add more to that weight."
"Good. Now Nico, does Will make you happy?"
"Yes, he does."

"Do you really love him?"

"Yes, I really do. He is amazing."

"Thanks Death boy," WIll said.

"Okay, Will is good for you. I'll let him live," Hades said.

Hades shadow traveled us back to camp.
