I was in Kentucky. I saw someone snap a picture of me, but I didn't care.
I needed food. My supplies of granola bars had been eaten. I didn't have any money.
I decided to go to a shop and work for the food. I found a pastries shop, and asked if I could help to get some food.
They agreed, and I spent my afternoon cleaning the tables, and serving other people. In return, I got a bag with pastries. I ate most of them.
I could only think about Will. I didn't have the stuff on me to send an Iris message.
I missed kissing Will. That last kiss we shared was simple but sweet.
I had to get back to camp half blood. But how?
I tried to shadow travel one last time. It still didn't work. Then, I decided to pray to my dad.
"Hi dad, again. Do you know why I can't use my powers? But most importantly, can you get me back to camp?"
Cracks were made in the ground in front of me. Hades appeared from them.
"Nico, I can't help you for some reason. I think another God might be doing this. And whenever you sleep, days past. I don't know why. But I can send out a signal to your friends at camp half blood that you're here. Would you like that?"
"Yes. Thank you so much."
Hades disappeared. But now I had some help. I just needed to stay put.
