Chapter 44: Piper

I hate love triangles! I loved Jason, then he died, so I fell in love with Shel. Now Jason is back, and I love them both.

Maybe during this trip to Olympus, I can ask my mom for advice.

Meanwhile, we were making a plan to sneak out of camp.

"I could use my charmspeak on Chiron," I suggested.

"No, he'll see right through that," Percy said. "Annabeth, you've the child of Athena. Do you have a plan?"

"I think we've been overthinking this. Why don't we just sneak out at night and leave a note."

Percy laughed. "Why didn't I think of that?"

"Because your head is full of seaweed, seaweed brain," Annabeth said.

Nico was in the corner, staring at Will. His face kept changing from loving to disgust. Why did my mother always try to mess up peoples lives for her enjoyment?

Shel was as beautiful as ever. Even though she was still taking in that there was demigods. At least she can see through the mist. And Jason was so handsome. Why couldn't I make up my mind?

Annabeth scribbled something on a piece of paper. "Now we wait," she said.

We continued on with our daily activities. Later, when I was at sword fighting, Bianca came up to me.

"Is Nico going to be okay?" She asked.

"Yes, he will," I replied.

"I barley got to spend as much time with him as I wanted. He's growing so fast," Bianca said.

I nodded.

"Well, I better get back to practicing," Bianca stepped away.

Finally, night came. We all met up in the Hades cabin.

"Everyone ready?" Annabeth asked.

"Yep," Percy said.

We silently walked out of the cabin, avoiding the harpies. I did not want to die tonight. We found a car on the side of the road, and Leo made it functional. Percy drove us to the Empire state building.

"Floor 600 please," Percy asked once we got inside.

"I'm sorry, but there is no 600th floor," the man at the counter said.

"We need to see them right now," Percy said.

The man finally looked up from his book. He scanned the room, and his eyes landed on Nico.

"Is that Nico di Angelo?" He asked.

"Yes," Percy said.

"Aphrodite knew you would come. Just she thought it would only be two people."

"We are his friends, and we come with him," Percy said.

The man nodded his head. "Go to the elevator. I'll send you guys up."

We walked into the elevator. It zoomed up to Olympus. Once it opened, we saw all of the Gods on their thrones. They stared at us, until Zeus said, "Oh, Percy. What do you want this time?"

"To be fair, you have made me do more things for you than what you do for me. But, we're here to see Aphrodite," Percy said.

My mom looked at us. "Oh, Piper, look how much you have grown. Nico and Will, I assume that's why you're here to see me."

"Aphrodite, what have you done to these two boys now?" Athena asked. "Hi, Annabeth."

Annabeth waved.

"I just made their love life more interesting," my mom said.

"How did you make their love life more interesting?" Athena asked.

"I just made Nico lose feelings for Will. But, he's fighting it."

"Aphrodite, make it back to normal," Athena said.

"Fine," Aphrodite said.

She snapped her hands and made Nico come running to Will. They ended up in a kiss.

"There, now Piper, I think you've been meaning to ask me something?" My mom said.

"Piper?" Annabeth asked.

"I'll be done in a second. I promise," I said.

Aphrodite led me to her throne. "So, you're in a love triangle, right?"

I nodded. "I love them both, but I can only date one. Who should I date?"

"Well, Shel can see through the mist, and you had to explain to her what a demigod is. But Jason. Jason is handsome, and he's a boy. He's-"

"So, mom, you want me to be with a boy?"

"No, I didn't mean it like that. It's just-"

"I'm leaving. And I know who I'm going to be with."

I walked away.

"Piper, are you okay?" Annabeth asked.

I groaned.

"Is this about..." Annabeth implied.

"Yes, it is. Now let's go."

Jason and Shel gave me a look. I ignored both of them, now that I made my decision.

We drove back to camp half blood. Nico had his head resting on Will's shoulder. I stayed silent.

We finally arrived and Chiron was waiting outside for us. "What did you think you were doing?! Going up to Olympus by yourselves, just to stop a romance problem. Aphrodite or any of the other Gods could have killed you."

"We had to, Chiron," Percy said.

"You brought a mortal up to Olympus. And a new camper."

"My name is Molly," Molly said.

"Yes Molly. All of you have to clean the Pegasus stables."

We walked off to our cabins. Will snuck into the Hades cabin. Shel didn't have anywhere to go, so I let her sleep in my cabin. I gave her a kiss goodnight.
