Chapter 24: Nico

I was taken away from Will. Again. 

I was solid when I woke up. I woke up at a smaller town. Great. 

Where was I?

I looked around. I was in a parking lot. The building looked like a library. On the sign it said:

Vacaville public library.

I was in Vacaville. But where was Vacaville?

I walked on the sidewalk and found a target. There was a pet store and a bank close also.

Nothing that could help me get to Will. 

I found out I was in the bay area. That's where camp Jupiter is also!

I waked for hours. I knew that I was going to camp Jupiter.

Then a car stopped in front of me. It was another Demigod from Camp Jupiter. Her name was Sammy, I think.

"Need a lift?" She asked.

"Yes, I definitely do," I told her.

"What are you doing out here?"

"Zeus is mad at me and is trying to cause me more pain."

"Ahh. Is he going to electrocute my car, though?" She asked.

"No, I would vanish if he decides to do it again."

On the way to camp Jupiter, I told her about my problem.

"So, what are you doing out here?" I asked.

"I was driving back from a solo quest. Just a small one."

We talked and talked. After a few hours, we arrived at camp Jupiter. 

Sammy explained who I was to the people patrolling the area.

"Nico," One of them said. "Come with me, let me take you to Will."

"By Sammy," I said. "Thanks for the lift."

"Anytime."

The demigods took me to the camp fire. Then left to the Apollo cabin.

Will came running out to meet me. I ran towards him. We met with a kiss.

After a minute, Will said, "We need to get you to Zeus as quickly as we can, before we get separated again."

"I can't shadow travel," I told Will. "None of my powers work."

"That's okay. We can get Mrs. O'leary to come."

"Great. And if I disappear before we get there, we'll meet back here."

I called for Mrs. O'leary. She came running. 

Once Will and I hopped on, I told her where we needed to go. She shadow traveled us there, then went off for a rest. I couldn't blame her. If I just did a shadow jump across the country with 2 other people, I would have passed out here.

We went into the empire state building, and asked to go to floor 600. They let us go.

Will took my hand as we went into the elevator. "What ever happens, we'll do it together," he said.

"Ti amo, Will," I said. "Qualunque cosa accada, la farò con te."
