Chapter 17: Will

My dad just popped out of nowhere while Nico and I were sleeping in the same bed. So much for personal space. 

The Romans were going to leave today. I now Nico will be sad. He's been under enough stress enough though. 

When I woke up, I snuck over to the Apollo cabin, where y half brothers and sisters were waiting.

"Where have you been!" Kayla yelled. "We thought you died again!"

"Sorry. Nico didn't want me to leave so I slept in his cabin last night," I explained.

"Oh," Kayla said. "I  know you're in love, but you are also head counselor. You can't go to your boyfriends cabin without telling us."

"Okay, okay. Like I said before, I'm sorry."

I grabbed y clothes and got changed in the bathroom. By the time I was dressed, it was time for breakfast. I went to the tables, and saw Nico. I immediately sat down next to him.

"Hi death boy," I said.

"Hey sunshine," he replied. 

We ate in silence, until Percy came over. 

"Hey guys," he said. 

Nico groaned. "Hey Percy."

"Frank and Hazel are leaving. I was wondering if you wanted to say one more goodbye."

Nico got up from the table, so I got up with him. We walked hand in hand to Thalia's tree. Hazel and Frank were standing there.

Nico walked up to Hazel and hugged her. "Bye Hazel," he said.

"You are always welcome at camp Jupiter," Hazel said, and Nico smiled that now not so rare smile.

"Thanks Hazel. If you need help, I'm always here."

Then Hazel walked over to me. "Treat him well, okay. He's been through enough."

"I will always treat him well," I said.

They left, and I walked back to the table with Nico.

Nico looked up at me. "Thanks for being there for me," he said.

"I'll always be there for you," I told him.

"You weren't there for me when you died," he said.

"I was dead!" I protested.

"Excuses, Excuses."

We laughed at that. 

Jason came over. "Nico, are you laughing?" He asked.

"Yes, I am," Nico said.

Jason smiled. Then he said, "Keep this Will Solace guy." He walked away.

After our breakfast, we walked over to the Hades cabin. 

We were in an intense game of Uno, when Percy and Annabeth walked in.

"What are you doing?" Percy asked.

"Playing Uno," Nico said.

"I didn't know you knew how to play Uno," Annabeth said.

"Will taught me how to play," Nico said.

"Can we join?" Annabeth asked.

"Sure," Nico said.

We played a few games, and Nico surprisingly won most of them. Annabeth won the rest.

It was a nice day. No threats, I'm not dead again. I hope we can have more days like this.
