"Did you really mean what you said earlier?" I sneak a glance at Gail as I carefully drive our way back home. She seems to be looking out the window, unfortunately I can't see her expression clearly in the dark. Everyone in the theater earlier had decided to go home and when Declan and the others declared that they'll be going home soon, we said our goodbyes. Of course, before saying our goodbyes to them, there are some little moments of laughter and fun. Throughout the entire conversation with Declan, my mind was fixated on the words Gail had muttered to Declan's question. Until now, her exact words are still flying around my mind with no planning on landing down.

Gail finally snapped her gaze away from the window and turned her head towards me. I won't be able to see her eyes with mine because I'm driving, but I did feel her gaze on mine for a long time. "What did I say earlier? I said a lot of things throughout the evening, Vy. You have to be more specific." She lets out a soft chuckle. Not going to lie, she did say a lot of things during the evening. But still, I know that she knows what I'm talking about. She's just trying to stall, for some reason.

But of course, I will always bite what she's offering to me. It's always been like that, and it feels normal and right. "You know what you said to Declan? Your answer to his question about the two of us. About rekindling the fire and seeing if there's still a spark." My lips fall into a flat line as I stare directly at the road illuminated by the streetlamps ahead. I feel like I'm driving quite slowly, so I quickly glance at the speedometer. It looks like I'm still driving at a moderate speed-the usual speed that I always drive at. Except, for some reason, it really feels like I'm going slow.

"It sounds like you're trying to ask me about camping, Vy." Another chuckle came out of her lips and I really wish I wasn't driving, as well as having lights in the car, just to have a glance at her gorgeous laughter. "Anyways... You really want to know if I really mean what I said about us to Declan?" I feel her eyes burning on my side, which prompts me to nod my head, hoping that she'll see the gesture through the dark. "Okay then, before I could answer your question. Answer mine first... Do you think I said it correctly about our relationship?"

"What?" I did a double-take at her, before forcing my eyes on the road. Perplexity greets me and completely covers my entire face. But I think she won't be able to see my expression through that dark. She might have seen my nodding of my head in the dark-because of her blue eyes. I don't think her sight in the dark will be that good to read my expression. "What do you mean?"

I hear her sigh before muttering her question once again. "Do you think-the words I've said to Declan earlier-are the correct words to properly describe what we're doing in our relationship?" She blurts each other slowly as if that will help solve my confusion towards her question. Which... it did because she elaborated her question even more. Still, I feel like a monkey that's being experimented on by a scientist who speaks slowly so that the money would understand them. Weird analogy, but to be fair, a monkey pops into my mind and without thinking, those are the words that formed in my head. "Vy? Are you still confused by my question?"

Oh, right, her question. "No, no need for more elaboration. I understand the question clearly." Now my perplexity is out of the way, the next challenging thing to overcome is to answer her question. If I had a hard time understanding her question, I would also have a hard time answering it. Since, I'm uncertain whether I've understood the question correctly or I've misinterpreted it. Just to make sure, though. "Before I could answer... Are you asking me if the words you've said earlier describe perfectly what we're doing right now for our relationship together?"

"Exactly... So, do you think I said the correct words?" Hmm, two things flash in my mind. First was a question. A question that kept bugging me the moment I understood her question. Why is she asking me that kind of question? Is it a way to see if I agreed with her, or to prompt me to say something that might contradict what she just said? It's a weird question to just ask me.
