twenty seven

At the morning i wake up by Charles who was talking with Mateo about how he feels

"I'm alright Mattie, you know it's normal to feel a little pain. I'll be okay."
"Alright, i want you to be okay, it was scary watching you in the fire."
"I was fighting for you and mommy. It was hard but i knew i can't leave you two."
"You're the best daddy ever!" - he hug him tight
"Good morning babies." - i rub my eyes and sit on the bed
"Hey love. Ferrari want me to give interview but since I can't go somewhere they need to come home..Are you okay with that?"
"Erm, well little shocking but yeah i know the media is annoying. They can come but please don't let them film Mateo, if it's needed I'll talk too." - i roll my eyes and go to the kitchen
"Is mommy okay?" - Mateo look at Charles
"I'll check her, you'll understand when you grow up but for now we'll do our best to protect you." - he sigh and follow me leaving Mateo in our room
"Love are you sure you're okay? I mean i can do it when I'm back on racing it's not important to be now, if you'll feel uncomfortable I'm not doing it."
"Charles you're definitely the sweetest. It just felt shocking. I'm okay with it, you know i just hate the media."
"I love you baby. You can stay with Mateo in our room it will take 30 minutes, then I'll rest i promise."
"What I'm supposed to tell Mateo for that?"
"I tell him he will understand when he grow up but for now we will protect him."
"Okay, good." - i kiss him quickly and make coffee for us

We drink it, and waited for the media. I was feeling anxious for no reason. When i hear the doorbell i exhale and stand
"Go to Mattie, I'll be there soon." - he kiss me gently and pull me for a hug.
"Okay" - i nod and go to Mateo.

I go to our room just to see Mateo sleeping peacefully. I smile to myself and sit next to him. I can hear Charles talking with the guys who were interviewing him. His voice was low and sad, probably cause they're asking too deep things. I felt bad, even if i was scared to show i know Charles needs some support there.
I go to the living room and when Charles saw me his eyes lights up and he smile. I sit next to him on the couch and he wrap his hand around my shoulders. I can feel his leg shaking cause of nerves. I squeeze his hand and rub it gently. We continue the interview together.

"So Charles we know, big crash and you need time to recover. What was the feeling? You were scared we can guess that but tell us more?"
"Everything i was thinking was my family. Everything goes out of my mind i just kept saying to myself *i cannot die today* and that i can leave my family." - he tried to stay calm but this was impossible after such an emotional crash.
"Thank you Charles, we hope we will see you next weekend recovered from this horrible one!" - Charles nod and i stand to send them off.
"You have such a strong boyfriend, Charles is amazing boy." - i smile to them and they left

I go back to Charles who was texting his media manager with serious look.

"Babe, how it was?" - i sit next to him
"Terrible, i felt so much pressure on me while they were asking me."
"I'm sorry love, that's why i came. Mattie is sleeping it's all okay."
"I'll skip the next weekend. We need some time together."
"Your choice love. I'm here with you."

We hear Mateo coming to us so we acted normal

"I'm hungry!" - he look at us
"Okay baby, go to daddy he needs some cuddles and support now. I'll come too."-i whisper to Mateo and he go and hug Charles tight

I cook him quick and go to them. Charles was finally happy with Mateo in peace. I smile to them and give Mateo his lunch.

"I'm feeling so grateful right now." - he smile to us
"You deserve it more than anyone!" - i smile and sit next to him
"I love you Maddy." - he wrap his hand around me

We stayed like that for few minutes but suddenly Charles's phone start ringing.

"Who is calling?"
"Arthur, here take it." - i hand him his phone and he stand to take it

I can see him talking little worried so i tried to stay calm. He come back and hand me his phone.

"Hey Arth is everything okay?"
"Me and Carla broke up.."
"What? Are you okay? What happened?"
"We just had an argument..Can i come? I don't want to be alone right now.."
"Yes if Charles is okay with that."
"He said it's okay..if you're not-"
"I'm absolutely okay, come." - i give Charles his phone and sit back next to him

We waited for Arthur to come, i make dinner and prepare the guest room for him. When he comes he was looking so sad and frustrated.

"Do you want to talk mate?" - Charles hug him
"Can Maddy come too..She will understand the point of the argument.."
"Babe, can you come?"
"Yes one second, I'm putting Mateo for his nap."

I come to them and sit next to Arthur who was looking at one point with watery eyes

"Arth it's so sad to watch you like that..tell us what happened."
"She thought i was cheating on her! Which is absolutely not true.." - he sigh
"We know it's not true, but why she thought that? What did you do?"
"Nothing! I was out with the boys to celebrate my seat and she said she was sure there was a girls around me and things like that.." - i look at Charles because i remember this is the same situation as with us.
"Well Arth..We had the same situation. I just kept showing Maddy she's the one i love and there's no one that matters more than her. Show that to Carla too. You see we are still here together." - Charles look at him
"Can i go to sleep, I'm exhausted from this shit." - he look down and rub his eyes
"You know where's your room, feel like home." - i smile to him and snuggle into Charles
"Thanks guys...it means a lot to have me here." - we smile and nod

When he goes to his room we just stayed in silence on the couch watching something on the TV.

"Charles?"
"Yes love?"
"You didn't cheated on me right?"
"No, i love only you. I learn from my mistakes and I'm never doing them again. You're the only one for me."
"I love you!" - i yawn and hug him even more tight
"Let's go and have some sleep, tomorrow we will deal with everything." - i just nod

He take me in his arms and take me to the bathroom, he helped me with my skin care and with the pijamas, then take me to the bed. We fall asleep almost immediately.
