At the morning i wake up really early. Usually i do when I'm home. This time is different. Kind of nerves for today's race.

I start making breakfast for us. The sunrise was beautiful to see from our kitchen.

It makes me feel quite comfortable even if my mind is absolutely racing with different thoughts.

I make myself a coffee and drink it on the terrace waiting for Maddy or Mateo.

I spend few hours alone. Just trying to figure out my thoughts. I wanted to practice for today.

I turn on my simulator and start doing some laps. I hear Maddy and Mateo both awake. I smile to myself but still continue my race.

"Charles don't you think it's enough that you'll be driving today in real life? Why you're doing laps?" - she wrap her arms around me
"Maybe it is. But i want to be the best today. I want win here. I want us to be happy for once when it's my home race."
"You know you don't need to win always, I'm proud of you." - she press a kiss on my head
"Yeah i know..I will come in a minute. There's breakfast in the kitchen."
"Yeah Mateo is already eating. I wanted to talk for his birthday with you. You know it's soon what we will do for it?"
"We will plan it baby. I promise." - i nod while i was still doing laps concentrate.
"You should stop now. Some rest before the long day it will be okay for you. You hurt your eyes enough for the morning."

She take off my glasses and turn off my sim. I love when she's caring for me so much. She really do her best for me to be okay.

"Thank you." - i whisper and turn to kiss her
"That's why I'm here baby. Now breakfast and rest. We need to leave for the paddock in few hours."

She clearly knows my schedule better than me. Well honestly maybe because I'm still not concentrate enough to remember everything.

We go to the kitchen where Mateo was eating some breakfast.

"It's delicious daddy!" - Mateo clap with his hands and smile
"I'm glad you like it buddy." - i smile and take him in my arms

Maddy was changing while i was getting my stuff ready for the paddock. Mateo was helping me with that. He was carrying different things to my bag trying his best to help.

"Baby we need to leave." - i enter our room and saw her sleeping
"We can't leave mommy here.." - Mateo look at me
"Of course we're not leaving her. I'll make a quick call. Just don't wake up mommy okay?" - i put him and my stuff down

I called my race engineer that i will miss the media before the race because of family problems. Maddy's health was important to me at the moment since i know her pregnancy will be harder.

When she's asleep that means she needed that sleep and of course I'm not taking it away from her.

Me and Mateo lay next to Maddy pulling her to me. She wrapped her arms around me and fall asleep deeply.

We spend my last free hours home, Maddy was sleeping in my arms, Mateo too next to us.

She wake up just in time we needed to leave again.

"I fell asleep right?" - she rub her eyes
"It's okay, honestly. I know you needed it."
"Probably i didn't but yeah.."
"It's okay i told you. But we need to leave."
"Yeah, let's go." - she nodded and take Mateo who wakes up soon after her

We headed to the paddock. On our way there few fans stopped me for photos. Mateo don't like when every time we're out someone needs to take a photo with me and stuff.

I understand it, he's a kid he don't want to be always Infront of the cameras and people. Sometimes I don't want it too but it's the risk you take when you become famous.
