I wake up a little before the race, i really needed that sleep.

"Maddy are you okay?" - Arthur was standing next to me
"Yeah...just needed some longer sleep. Let's watch Charles. I really miss him so much."

I look around and didn't saw Mateo

"Where's Mateo?" - i asked confused
"They're doing tests again. Calm down."
"I want to go home already..." - i start sobbing
"Hey, don't be upset. I'm sure when Charles come back home he will help you." - Arthur pull me for a hug
"I can't-" - i continue sobbing
"Shh, it's okay, i will put the race on the TV and I'll go to ask for news for Mateo. I want you to calm down."

I slowly nod and he smile at me. He put the race on because it was already started.

He left and i stayed in the bed. Charles was doing amazing. He was leading the race since the beginning.

Arthur come back with Mateo in his arms, they were speaking in french for something. I don't have the strength to listen to them.

"Mommy! Is daddy first?" - he smile and Arthur lay him on the bed next to me
"Yes amour. He is." - i slowly stand from the bed and go to the bathroom

I was sick again, it didn't hit me from few days so maybe it was normal.

"Maddy, do you need help?" - Arthur shout from the room
"No..all good." - i said walking back to the room
"I can't wait to go home again. Miss it so much." - i said staring to the screen
"They told me Mateo can go home on Monday. I'm sure you'll have time to prepare for his birthday."
"Actually..yes. Amour what do you want for your birthday?"

Mateo look at me and start thinking

"Daddy to be home with us, to win a championship and to have a healthy sister or brother. And cake!"
"Oh amour, you're the sweetest. I'm sure daddy can do the things for us. Any gifts?"
"No, it's absolutely enough! I don't want to use daddy's fame and money for a big stuff..I want us to be okay."
"Amour, you're our biggest gift!" - i hug him tight in my arms
"I swear I'm really glad you're part of the family Maddy, and I'm more glad you give a birth to this amazing kid, you'll give a birth to a second amazing one." - Arthur smile at us

We watched the race till the end. Charles won it of course. We watched the podium.

It was a already a night and we expected Charles soon to come back.

"You better sleep Maddy, Charles will be home soon."
"I want to see him. I will sleep when he come."
"Do you mind if I go home?"
"Of course no, go! Have some rest."
"If you two need some help with the birthday call us okay?"
"Yes, thank you!"

He left and i waited for Charles to come.

It was already 10p.m and i hear his voice outside talking to someone

He enter the room and come straight to me

"Hey my darling, I'm sorry I'm late we talked a bit too much after the race. How are you?"
"I'm okay. Can't wait to go home already. The little Leclerc is driving me crazy."
"It's hard isn't it? Tomorrow we will be home again. Did you talk with Mattie? What he wants for his birthday?"
"Mateo was the sweetest, he told me he want you to be home, to win the championship, to have healthy sister or brother and cake." - i tear up holding him tight
"We raised him right my love, i will be home, i will win the championship i promise." - he smile and put Mateo on his chest

I snuggle into him and fall asleep. He was holding me tight still with Mateo on his chest.

At the morning i wake up without Charles and Mateo in the bed. I look around and saw them packing our things.

"Good morning darling. We are going home." - he come and kiss me gently
"Finally, I can't stay here anymore." - i sigh in relief and he smile
"Mommy, can we make cake today and tomorrow again? I want cake now!"
"Yes amour, we can." - i smile and stand from the bed

Charles take our stuff and i take Mateo in my arms. He drive us home.

"Finally, i needed it." - i put Mateo down and sigh
"Darling what about you going to fresh yourself then rest a bit. I will take care of Mateo and the stuff here. You need to focus on you and our baby."
"Yeah..i need to. I want it to be healthy and as the doctor said it's not going to be easy."
"Okay my darling, go ahead. I have a week rest so this one is for us. To celebrate Mateo's birthday." - he hug me gently
"Thank you love." - i kiss him and go to the bathroom

I spend hours doing self care and stuff. Mateo and Charles were doing their things around the apartment.

I was in constantly pain since we are in home. I was laying on the bed trying to put my thoughts on place.

I hear Charles coming to me so i tried to look like I'm not in pain even if it's hard.

"Hey, you okay? I put Mateo for his nap and i come to check you." - he scanned all of my body and face and he clearly can see I'm in pain
"Where it hurts?" - he smile a little and sit next to me
"How did you know?"
"I know you way too much. Please don't hide when you're in pain. Let me just help you and be with you when you need it."
"You're here Charles. I'm okay."
"Was you in pain in the hospital?" - he looked confused at me
"Sometimes. But i find that normal.."
"Maybe but we should check it soon."
"Not this week. It's our week. For us. We don't have that kind of opportunity since a long time.."
"I know..i really want to have it more often but it's kinda impossible with my racing stuff."
"I know. We know. You're still doing amazing with racing and your father duties. Of course your future husband's ones too." - i laugh and snuggle into him
"I'm glad i do it. I'm really trying."
"Let's chill. Just us. I need it."

He put a movie on the TV and hug me tight holding his hand on my belly always.

I was slowly falling asleep in his arms, feeling relaxed and safe.

After some time he fall asleep too.

We slept till Mateo wake up because we promised him to make a cake.

I stand from the bed and take some painkillers to keep me up without a pain for some time.

"Cake time!" - cheered Mateo running to the kitchen with Charles behind him
"I love it." - I smile and enter the kitchen

I get ready everything for the cake and they start helping me with it.

We spend the whole afternoon making a cake. It was funny and lovely.

I definitely missed our closeness like a family.

When the cake was ready i cook the dinner while Charles was bathing Mateo.

We all eat together and put him to sleep again. We wanted to prepare the apartment for his birthday tomorrow.

I bought a few things he said he wanted before. Like a few toys i didn't brought him at the moment he wanted them and stuff like that.

It was getting late and we were still preparing.

"Baby, it's midnight let's go to sleep. We will need some. Tomorrow everyone will come."
"I want to finnish it. It's his fourth birthday! He's growing so fast Charles! I want to feel every moment of it." - i tear up and look at him
"I want that too but you need some good sleep darling. We will wake up before him tomorrow and we will finnish it i promise you okay?" - he kiss my forehead and i rest it on his
"I love you."
"More."

We go back to our room and quickly get ready for sleep. We watched a movie before we both completely fall asleep snuggled into eachother
