Maddy's birthday was tomorrow, but with her condition i wasn't sure if she wanted to celebrate it.

I knew she just wanted Lya to feel better but since we are together I've always made at least a little celebration for us in home and of course buy her present. It doesn't matter if it's big or not.

I was going to do it now also. I just wasn't sure what to buy her. She didn't wanted anything recently. And i wanted it to be something personally for herself not something for Lya or Mateo.

Lya was calmer since my mom told us to play white noises when she sleeps which let us and mostly Maddy to sleep and rest properly. Which was an opportunity for me to think about what i will buy her and what we will do tomorrow.

I had to call her mom to ask her what she could possibly want to or if she told her about something she wants to.

"Hey Charles! Is everything okay?"
"Yeah everything is fine, just wondering if Maddy told you about something she wants for her birthday. It's not the right moment for a big party or something but at least i want to buy her something to mark it."
"Oh she told me about one gucci bag she liked, that's the only thing i know about. I'll send you a photo, you can find it in Monaco."
"Thank you so much!" I smiled to myself and hung up.

Maddy woke up soon, i had already made breakfast for her and Mateo and i was up to go out with Andrea to "train" but i was going to buy her that bag.

"Morning." She said sleepy entering the kitchen.
"Morning baby. How are you feeling." I kissed her and she smile.
"Better, a full night sleep felt amazing." She leaned a bit on me and i wrapped my arm around her.
"I'm glad you feel better baby." I smiled and kissed her again.
"I need to go and train with Adrea. I'll be back as soon as i can. If there's something call me okay?"
"Okay." She nod and continue eating.

I left and i hope she didn't notice i took my car cause when i go to train i never take my car with me.

I called Maddy's mom again to ask her in which shop i can find it so i can directly go there.

I finally found it and bought it but i thought it wasn't enough. I wanted to buy her something I'm sure she loves.

I went to the shop and bought her
box of chocolates, and a teddy bear. When we were young i always had bought her that when I didn't had the money to buy her expensive things.

She had always been more happy to them than the expensive things.

So i had to.

I hide them in the car because i can get them upstairs cause she would surely find them.

I had to drive around Monaco for another hour cause my sessions with Andrea are not that short usually and she will know i wasn't doing that.

After an hour i was back home like i normally did, she didn't notice anything or at least she didn't showed she did.

"Hey, how was your session?" She asked me feeding Lya.
"Oh it was good, not that intense as always." I smiled nervously realizing I'm not even sweaty.
"Hm..okay." She laughed clearly don't believing me.
"Please tell me you didn't bought me something for my birthday. I really don't feel like celebrating it." She looked at me seriously and i smile.
"I didn't baby. I know you don't feel like celebrating it. But at least let me cook dinner tomorrow and watch the kids. I want you to have one calm birthday." I kissed her forehead.
"And you didn't planed a big birthday party like last year?" She looked at me and i shake my head.
"No baby. I didn't. Don't worry."
"Okay then i let you cook dinner and watch the kids." She smile brightly and snuggle into me.
"Thank you!" I laughed.

The afternoon we spend mostly resting cause it was needed after the few days.

We put Mateo and Lya to sleep and we were just us two.

We cooked together, and waited to midnight so i can congratulate Maddy.

"Happy birthday mon amour. I love you so much. Thank you for being with me since day one and thank you for not giving up on me" i kissed her gently pulling her to me for a hug.
"Thank you baby. I love you." She smiled with watery eyes.
"I love you too." I smiled also as i felt her falling asleep in my arms.

The next morning i woke up early before her so i can bring the presents and make breakfast.

Mateo also woke up do draw something for her because she truly loves his drawings. A lot of them are pinned on the fridge.

I made her favourite breakfast and we just waited for her to wake up by now.

Not long after she enter the kitchen still sleepy. The presents were in the living room so she didn't notice anything still.

"Good morning love. Happy birthday again." I smiled sadly seeing how beat up she is still.
"Thank you."
"Happy birthday mommy!" Mateo run to her and hugged her legs.
"Thank you so much baby." She smiled and kneel to hug him.
"Wait i have drawing for you!" He said and run to the table to take it.
"Oh, thank you baby! It's so beautiful!" She said and looked at it for some time, i can read the joy in her eyes. Even if she was still tired.

She came by my side and i hug her silently. She was little knocked out but still that beautiful.

"You didn't bought me anything early in the morning right?" She said breaking the hug and i smile.
"Charles! What did you bought me?!" She asked me confused.
"It's in the living room. Go see it."

On the table was her gucci bag with the chocolates and the teddy bear. I really wanted to see her reaction.

"I swear to God Charles..." She entered the living room and gasped.
"You didn't!" She said surprised
"I did." I smiled and she punch me a little.
"Charles Leclerc you didn't bought me a gucci back for half million!" She laughed clearly happy.
"I did bought you what you wanted." I smiled and she hugged me tight.
"How did you-"
"Your mom told me. The thanks are for her."
"Okay leave the gucci back aside. The chocolates and the teddy bear! You remember!"

She got emotional probably because she remembers all of the times there was no money for gucci bags but we were still that happy.

"Of course i do baby. It was an hard but happy times." I smiled.
"Yeah..God I'm the luckiest woman in the whole world."
"And I'm the luckiest man in the world darling."
"At least tell me there's nothing more than this!" She laughed.
"No, absolutely nothing i swear. Just us tonight, your favourite meal. A glass of wine. Finally able to rest from everyone and everything." I enjoyed the moment and pull her for a hug.

The whole day she was absolutely shining, she was really happy with everything.

As i promised whole day i was taking care of the kids and prepare for dinner.

She had mostly rested and i can see that rest helped her a lot.

When it was time i put the kids to sleep and serve the dinner.

"I don't think i can thank you enough for everything you do for me.." she spoke as we sat down to eat.
"You don't need to thank me love." I smiled and she also did.
"I still remember when we were 18 and 17. The late night walks, your mom's dinners because we didn't know how to cook. How i came to your races when you were still driving for Alfa Romeo."
"Now you gave a birth to two amazing kids which have my last name and soon you will have it too..It's like dream come true." I smiled remembering all those times.
"I still remember how we talked about marriage. How you will propose me. Now we are achieving this dreams together and I'm more than happy I'm doing it with you." She smiled brightly.
"Cheers to us." She raised her glass.
"Cheers to us, and to you Mrs Leclerc soon to be."
