Charles*

The next morning i hardly woke up.

Yesterday was hell of a day and all i wanted to do is sleep. Unfortunately I can't.

Maddy's arms were tightly wrapped around me and i didn't even wanted to move. She was looking so peaceful.

I kissed her head few times and she slightly started to waking up.

"I need to get ready darling." I whispered and she nod letting me stand from the bed.

Soon she also get up to her and the kids ready. We were both visibly exhausted from everything that happened.

I just wanted some peace for us. Like we deserve.

"Mommy why are you and daddy not talking." Mateo looked at Maddy.
"Oh, i didn't even realized baby. We are just tired, sometimes the silence is better in this kind of situations." She smiled and i kissed her.
"I love you." She said looking at me.
"I love you too." I smiled.

Maddy*

We arrived at the paddock and i took the kids Charles's garage since he needed to go on a team briefing.

In the moment Isa saw me she came and helped me with everything cause i was struggling a little bit.

"You look little beat up." She smiled and hugged me.
"Both of us are. I mean me and Charles. Yesterday was overwhelming." I explained her everything. 
"Since he promised you that's a good thing right?"
"I want actions not promises. Like i saw they didn't work."
"Did he told you what happened with Charlotte?"
"No, i said i trust him and i don't want to know and i hope there's not something i want to know."
"No i don't think so, Carlos only told me she wanted money from Charles."
"What a bitch." I laughed.

Charles*

"So, Maddy believed you?" Carlos asked me.
"She did, and i was fully honest." I said walking through the media.
"You told her everything?"
"Not at all, she didn't wanted to know about Charlotte so i didn't told her."
"I'm happy you two are fine. What about the wedding?"
"Oh about that Maddy and Isa will discuss it in Monaco i think. She practically begged me to do it with Isa when we were back in Monaco." I smiled.
"Amazing, we will be in Maranello anyway. Do you want me to help you with the boys part? I mean you also need to plan about the bachelor party."
"Yeah we can plan that also. But let's leave it after the race. After yesterday i can't think straight." I laughed.

It was time for the practice but i didn't have the opportunity to see Maddy before it so i hoped I'll have some time with her after it.

Once again i got through everything and it took longer than expected. It was already late and i longed for Maddy and some rest already.

I felt completely drained after all the things happen so far. Why can't i just have a quiet life. Even as a celebrity.

I reached my garage and directly went to Maddy. She was rocking Lya while Mateo was visibly begging her for attention.

"Thank God you're here." She smiled and hugged me.
"That bad? What's up here?" I smiled and look at Mateo.
"I wanna go to the hotel already." He said annoyed.
"We are going there buddy, don't tease up mommy." I took him in my arms and wrapped my free one around Maddy.

We've got through the last few fans left at the paddock easily and i was pretty surprised.

After a successful fight to bath and put the kids to sleep me and Maddy got in the shower together.

"Was everything okay while i was driving?" I asked her soaping her hair.
"Yeah, just Mateo was bored already. And i was little tired." She smiled tiredly and i kissed her forehead.
"I'm sorry." I only said not knowing what else to.
"Why?" She turned surprised to me.
"For everything, recently." I pulled her closer and kissed her.
"No, don't be. You were my biggest support during this times baby, don't apologize for anything. We've gone through the bad things together." She whispered smiling.
"God, i love you." I kissed her again.

A warm shower was everything we needed after all the bad things that happend. I had ordered a nice meal with some wine, we needed to chill a little bit.

I watched Maddy changing into my clothes then sitting on the floor unpacking the food.

God I'm madly in love with her. She was absolutely perfect.

"Come on creeper sit down to eat." She laughed and i sat down next to her.

When we were younger we always ate on the floor. Recently we do a lot of things like back then which is making me so happy.

Maddy had leaned her back on my chest and had pleased smile on her face.

She was genuinely happy like i was.

Finally some peace, finally some happiness for us. Like a couple.

Not only as a family.

I felt so relieved in that moment. Everything will be possibly calm again and i was going to marry her soon.

The girl of my dreams.

I will be able to call her my wife after all this years relationship. After all the pain, happiness, and nerves we've experienced together..She was going to be my wife.

We had an amazing few hours together, cause we definitely missed our closeness as a partners.

Everything was so tense up till now, till i had her in my arms again.

She was the only one capable to calm me down whatever was up the whole day.

She had that power over me. Only her. My girl.

I was absolutely lucky with that i have her in my life. No matter what the haters say. She is the one for me and I'm going to protect her from everything.

She was now snuggled into me finishing her glass of wine. In my shirt, with sleepy look but still she had that beautiful, comforting smile.

It was getting late and i can feel she's barely standing awake anymore so i carried her to the bed and had layed next to her.

All my problems had disappeared from my mind when i layed on the bed and pulled her to me.

She wrapped her arms around me and stroke my hair before completely falling asleep.
