"Oh Mason" said Sophia as she bought her straw from her lips from her glass of coke "I really don't know what to say?".

She sighs as she looks at him sat opposite her in the small pub on the outskirts of Windsor, having driven down to meet him, while he drove up the little way to meet her.

He had just filled her in on the night, all the pieces he hadn't been able to piece together were now clear after going with breakfast with the gang.

He was reminded of asking Daisy if she had compared them in bed and also how angry he had been at first when he shouted at them both, making Daisy jump.

He feels terrible and he needed to tell Sophia, he didn't want to keep any secrets from her.

She was shocked at first when she heard about Daisy and Dec, she obviously didn't know Daisy but she knows Dec and she didn't think it would be something he would do out of spite or because he could, and when she heard how much he stood up for Daisy she can see that he obviously loves her and that just made Mason look like more of an idiot for kicking off like he did.

"I was a right dick to them Soph" he said as he shakes his head "like the way I spoke to them both, especially Daisy was disgusting, I'm so disgusted with myself" he tilted his head down and looked at the wooden table beneath him.

He had this fear that with one stupid moment he had managed to screw everything up, that he had possibly lost his two best friends and he hated that feeling.

"Hey" she said, reaching across the table to take his hand, squeezing it in hers "You made a bad decision last night, that doesn't make you a bad person Mase" she said, smiling at him as he looks up "just give them a bit of time and space, I'm sure it will all blow over"

He thinks back to the way he had already sent a couple of texts in the group chat this morning and one or two in their core 4 chat so maybe it was best to leave it now, he didn't want to push either of them away more.

"Mase you are allowed to feel shocked or hurt or annoyed or even angry about this all" Sophia said as she held onto his hand tightly "but you just need to manage how you deal with those emotions, screaming at your friends is not the way" she smiled at him as he smiled slightly.

"How comes you always know the right things to say?" he asks as he looks at her, squeezing her hand.

"Because I know you" she smiled "and you are the nicest person I know" he smiles at her "it will all be fine Mase, I promise, just give them time, wait for them to come back from wherever they are and then go round and apologise" she adds and he thinks she is completely right about that.

"It did make me think more though" Mason said as he looks into Sophia's eyes, they look even more emerald with the white dress she had on "about us"

"What about us?" she said with a smile.

"I don't want to hide us either" he shrugged his shoulders "I know we shouldn't say anything before the Euro's but I don't want to put any of this on hold during then" he squeezed her hand again "but afterwards I want us to be together properly, like boyfriend and girlfriend" he adds as she smiles at him.

"Are you asking me out Mason Mount?" she jokes as he lets out a laugh.

"Yeah I am" he said "I just know I want you, more than just some fling or something like I want a future with you and I don't want to wait for that" he adds "you have made me so happy and even today when I'm feeling like shit you still manage to put a smile on my face and even that I thought would be difficult but yet you make it feel so easy"

Sophia smiles as she looks at him, his hair messy on his head, his eyes still looking ever so slightly bloodshot as he stares at her and she can't help but feel the same as him.
