Sophia woke up with a wave of excitement, with was usual for her at the start of any camp, however today it was almost amplified by 100%. This was the first major competition she would be coaching for which filled her with adrenaline and anxiety all at the same time, but it was a wonderful mix. She knew this would either cement her place in the coaching team or would show her limits.

But not only this, she was so excited to see Mason. And not just for a short period of time but for over 6 weeks solidly. It wasn't that she hadn't seen him recently or missed him as she had only seen him a yesterday but still it was a lovely feeling to know he would be here soon.

After the weekend Mason had had, with the dinner with Dec, Daisy and Laura on Friday and then the movie night at Dec's on Sunday he wanted to see Sophia before camp started. He knew she was meant to be going to St George's Park on the Monday night to be there for the full day on Tuesday to finish off the final prep but he needed to see her.

He had left Dec's on the Sunday feeling a little bit emotional, he was pleased he had made things right with them both, especially Daisy though as he knew him and Dec would be alright no matter what.

He had a heart to heart with Daisy in the kitchen, he wanted to ask her to promise him that she would always confide him if things went wrong with her and Dec, he would hate for her to keep things to herself and he didn't presume she would be able to confide in Laura anymore for things like this and he had this fear that if something happened between her and Dec and things went south that she would feel like she had no-one to turn to. Plus, he wanted to be the one to kick Dec up the ass if he dreamt of hurting her.

He had felt his heart swell when he held her, realising that he was truly happy for her, to see her happy and smiling, it was all he ever wanted, and he couldn't find a better match for her. When he spoke to Dec before he left though he stuck to what he wanted to get him to promise and that was that he wouldn't break her heart. He had embraced him too and felt happy again, he just felt an overwhelming feeling of happiness at the end of the night.

However, all it made him think about was Sophia.

How much he missed her and wished he could have her sat with him on nights like tonight, introducing her to them all as his girlfriend, seeing them all interact together and feeling like he didn't have to keep a side of his life hidden away from them. That's what he hated the most.

So, he got in his car after leaving Dec's and drove to Sophia's, texting her before he left to ask her to stay up as he had a surprise for her, which she joked that it sounded like a 'dick appointment' to which he joked back saying 'as your boyfriend I don't think you can call it that anymore baby'.

However, two hours later a very tired Sophia who had been lazing around herself ready to get into bed some time ago opened up the door to greet a very energetic Mason who had stopped off for a large coffee on the way.

"Hello beautiful" he said as she leant against the doorway.

"Hey gorgeous" she smiled back at him as she stepped aside so he could walk in.

Her house always smelt like her, Mason loved it, it made him feel so comfortable and safe whenever he came to see her, he loved being here with her.

"So what do I owe the pleasure?" she smirked at him as she knew the answer already, closing the door behind her and following him towards the stairs, watching him shrug off jacket and hang it over the bottom banister.

"Can't I just surprise my girlfriend?" he said with a smile as he turned around to look at her, his arms wrapping around her waist, her head instinctively tilting towards his as he placed a heavy kiss against her lips, feeling like he has waited for so long for this moment again.
