Chapter 20: "The JasRick ship is sailing"

JASMINE CORNFIELD'S POV!
Ring! Ring! He calls again surprisingly and I reluctantly pick it up due to Diana's glares at me.

"Hey Jas" I hear his calm voice say. "What do you want Rick?" I say irritated, earning daggers from Diana and laughters from Amelia who was enjoying this.

"I wanted to apologise. I mean, I need to apologise to you Jas. Please just hear me out. Please" he begs and I almost feel bad for him, nah! I laugh in my head.

"Apologise for what exactly?" I ask him.

"For everything. Trying to kiss you. I didn't know what I was doing. It was just me and you, you were my comfort"

"I don't know it just felt right so, I just tried to. I didn't know you weren't ready" he says and I'm taken aback.

I want to cut him off but he corrects himself immediately.

"I mean, I'm sorry for trying at all" he says.

I think whether you forgive him but I also know I miss him too. So I eventually say, "All you said on the roof. Did you mean them?"

What he said on the roof was super sweet. He said he loves me from the first day. I need to know if he meant it.

"Yes, every word. I'm sorry if you didn't like that" he apologises more.

Of course I liked them. I cringed when he said the stars are not as beautiful as me. I smile at the thought.

"Nah, I liked them. And I forgive you Rick. It's cool" I smile.

"Really? Thanks Jas. I guess I'll see you later then?"he asks. "Of course you will. Bye Rick" I tell him then hung up.

"Yay! Yes yes yes! The JasRick ship is sailing" Diana did a victory dance while Amelia hissed, "It won't last that long".

"Stop being such a hater Amelia" Diana told her while I laugh at both of them.

Ring! That's the bell and it's time for lunch. I go with our friends to our usual table.

"I hope those elites are not coming over here" Amelia said, looking at them approaching.

"We're elites too and yes, they're coming this way" I smile at her knowing fully well how angry she currently is.

"Hey Jasmine and Diana. Amelia" Rick greets and growls at Amelia's name. She rolls her eyes in response.

"It's good to be back" Sean says, sitting in between Diana and I thereby, making me move closer to Kayla.

"Yeah it is. Rick, you should never fight with Jas. Look how we're attached to the table our friendships. It was just 3 days" Kayla said.

"Actually. Don't worry Rick and I won't be fighting anytime soon" I smile at him and he smiled back.

"Ew!" Amelia says, drawing attention to herself from us. She stands up and walks away as if fed up or something.

"Amelia must really hate us" Kayla says minutes after Amelia's dramatic walk out.

Yeah, I said that!!

"Hate is a strong word. Don't you think, Kay? I'm sure she doesn't hate you guys" I say to them.

"Even if she likes Sean and Kay, she definitely hates me" Rick said and we all laughed cause it's true.

Knock! Knock! The knocks on my room door wakes me up.

Diana and Amelia are not around and I don't have strength to get up.

Knock! The knock again. Who is that even? I try to struggle myself out of my bed but I hear someone speak.

"Don't worry Jasmine. I'll get it" Ayisha says and walks to the door while I say a small "thank you".

I try to sleep back but Ayisha's voice awakens me again. "Jas?" she calls me.

"What is it?" I groan in annoyance. "Someone's here to see you" she says.

And I turn from my bed to see the person. "Oh hey. What are you doing here?" I smile and come down from my bed.
